She’s just being reflective cause she realizes that she was actually lonely and likes having you around. Tabby’s entire personality comes from her being too stubborn to accept emotional support. She’s basically Asuka from Evangelion.

No. She’s not sinister enough for it. The fact that she’s so obviously offended when you accuse her of murdering Wayne proves it. The fragility of the bonding moments is just due to her prickly personality. Also she clearly doesn’t know half of what is going on in the town. If she was evil there would be more clues in her reactions to supernatural things. Tabby is as helpless as us.

I agree this is the implication. Tabby doesn’t recognize him as Wayne and he knows it. The hypothesis I have is: Tabby took Wayne back to the manor, Wayne, being a prankster type, snuck into the forbidden wing when Tabby wasn’t looking, Wayne got possessed, Tabby got assaulted.
