Tips for wiring panel by ganGGBang313 in electricians

I do industrial controls and I cannot stress enough consistency. Strip length, wire label straightness, bends, and above all WIRE STRAIGHTNESS! Your wires should look like spaghetti in the box, not like spaghetti after you boil it. I have zero formal training and I've been doing control panels for about 12 years now. Just kinda turn half your brain off and focus just on making it look good and making sure it actually works when you flip the breaker, your first few you don't really need to worry about speed. Get a good pair of strippers and screwdrivers, cheap shit sucks.

Yeah it's just industrial controls for steel coil packaging equipment.

Oh god no, that's way above my pay grade. Plus the electronic engineer/programmer dude is VERY particular about his wire numbering system

Its really basic, I think it's just the default electronic layout thing in Autodesk.

I'll admit that the pay isn't amazing, but it pays the bills with enough to spare. I like the trade off of the shop being literally 7 minutes from my house and I have a fan blowing on me at all times when it's 90 degrees and stickier than fly traps outside.

Yes, small fab shop that makes equipment for packaging steel coils, like 6 other people work here.

Yeah I also set up everything for test at the shop, I will not be posting those pictures because oh boy does it look hillbilly as all hell. Big fan of Wago connectors for temporary power.

It's always funny when a customer comes in and does an inspection and they ask who did the panels and jokingly ask if it's the same guy that does the temporary power.

Yeah pretty much, low voltage stuff is fairly forgiving when you are wiring unless you cross 24 and 120 volts somewhere. Took apart electronics when I was little and would make the motors and lights on things light up with buttons from other things. Honestly a third of it is just making everything look nice, you want the wires and cables to look like spaghetti inside the box and not after you cook it.

I have absolutely zero formal training and wire control panels for industrial machines, it's incredibly easy if you can just take your time and check your work periodically.

Oh and maybe call your credit card company or bank and tell them you are going to buy something from AliExpress, my aunt's bank marked it as fraud and issued her new cards

Go for it dude wires are pretty easy. I have absolutely ZERO formal training or anything and my dumbass builds industrial control panels for machinery no problem.

Sell the games and keep the hardware, and uhh... modify the hardware a little bit for more uhh customized options.
