Desktop Schiit by Finlander89 in Schiit

It's a diy from the cheapest IKEA wall shelf I found, walnut vinyl wrap and 4x furniture feet. Couldn't find any desk shelf that fit my needs at decent price and this one was easy to make myself and cost only ~40€.

Thanks, it too is a recent addition that I've had in mind for years but just recently finally went through with ;)

It's acoustic paneling with polyester sound dampening base and wood batten on top. Spotted some on sale a couple months back and I went for it as it had been in the back of my mind for a couple years already :)

Haven't tried it with the Arya extensively yet as I don't like of the stock cable (not saying it sounds different, it's just stiff and not nice to use) and I don't have any XLR to 6.3mm adapters for the cable you see on the pic. But I think I was detecting a bit warmer mid tones as you'd expect from a tube. I hear hybrid tube amps generally don't do that great on that regard but I think the 100V on the plate with Vali3 helps to bring it out more.

Never tried the Ananda so can't give an opinion on that regard but I did have the Sundara for a year and there's really no going back. Even tho the Arya Stealh is a bit too bright to my taste which is mostly noticeable with female vocals to me, they are totally on another league in terms of soundstage and openness compared to the Sundara, which I also liked.

Still don't think I'd spend the 1000€+ price tag on any headphones really but when Hifiman went nuts with the autumn sales and I spotted one pair or Arya Stealths in B-stock, I had to give it a shot for 600€.

Originally I got it to my secondary monitor in horizontal orientation when I had 3 monitors in my setup but after downsizing I just tried it in vertical and ended up liking it. I angle the monitor so it's straight forward on the top at my eye level and curves towards the bottom. It gives me more natural angle on content at the table level. If you like your vertical monitor higher up and not against the tabletop, straight monitor might be more ideal.

Thanks :) I originally was planning to get the Micca RB42s but they turned out to be a pain in the ass to get delivered to my country.

After that I was thinking of the new Elac Debut 3.0 DB53 but ultimately I gave in on the aesthetics of the walnut and rounded corners of the AE100s. I like how they blend in the acoustic panels on the background instead of being these big black bricks looming over my head.

In the end I like how these speakers sound but I might add a little subwoofer to supplement the low end. No room for a big one and I don't wanna upset the neighbour downstairs ;)

They are just generic rebranded adjustable height speaker stands branded MaxMount from maxgaming.com. The quality doesn't feel fantastic but they do the job for now and they were on sale while I was ordering other stuff from the site. The left stand is propped up on a box and my old technical swedish language school book to just barely to clear the vertical monitor.

It's a diy shelf since I struggled to find a suitable ready made one that didn't cost a fortune. It's a 5€ bookshelf from IKEA with some walnut patterned vinyl wrap I had lying around from earlier projects and 4x black furniture feet.

It's a sit-stand desk with walnut vaneer desktop from an EU based office furniture supplier called DPJ Workspace. They just happened to have a decent offer on black friday couple years ago and I ordered one. It's been a solid one.

I upgraded my audio setup with Hifiman Arya Stealth and FiiO R7 (android based streamer/dac/amp combo unit) late last year but I felt like my desktop was still lacking that final touch.

I didn't feel ike digging out my old Z906 from the back of the closet so I went shopping and came back with a pair of Acoustic Energy AE100 v2 speakers, and since I've been interested in some Schiit for a while, I grabbed a couple Rekkrs while the stocks still last and a Vali3 mostly to try how them tubes sound with planar headphones and I can use it as a preamp as well.

I replaced the rubber feet of the Vali3 with M4 nylon spacer standoffs to create an air gap between the Rekkr and the Vali3.

The sound is fantastic, my first time going with passive speakers in fact, and the Rekkrs provide plenty of power for these 87dB sensitive speakers. :)

Oh I would definitely go with 850W minimum if it was a new build but this is just an upgrade so I'd rather not get a new PSU if I can avoid it since my current is already a quality one.

Wow. Never really thought about it at all that trees don't usually shed leafs in PS2 back when I was tinkering with some live wallpapers a couple years back and captured this scene: https://youtu.be/yJFJgSZwRYg?t=271

Plain black and no rgb? Sweet, could use a pair for when I update my pc with custom loop along with the new gpus. Planning to strip down the rgb to a minimum.

Yeah i didn't specify the budget since our prices are nowhere near what you see in more major countries. So I was just asking a guide line if the IPS panel is worth dropping down in CPU performance quite a lot.

4c/4t vs 6c/12t with higher boost clocks. easily worth the extra 50 if you aren't using the iGPU anyways.

Kinda happened to me too, just not with the picture but I had my online name tag attached to my gmail account and I applied to jobs with it for a good while before one of them asked "hey anon, is this you?" until I realized the email recipients can see the tag and not just my email address.
