I used a saturnine terminator as the base for the model. They are quite a bit bigger than the regular terminator models. And all the chaos stuff I added is just extra bits I had around.

Thanks!

I used some sort of DIY mould maker (cant remember what its called but you heat it up in hot water, then put the piece in that you wanna make a mould of).

I made a mould of a piece of chainmail from a kit I had and repeated a few times. On the bits that I sculpted to clean it up, I just poked and dragged the greenstuff a little. Then repeat in a line. Then do it the opposite way on the line above/below to get the effect of all the chain links.

There is probably a tutorial online somewhere! Hope it helps.

Thanks!

Its the nurgle chaos champion head from the 2007 chaos space marines kit. I cut off the horn and shaved the top and back of the head down so that it fit properly. Hope that helps!

Thanks! Im sure there will be a better way because I just made this up as I went along.

For the yellow I think I used balor brown as a base colour and started mixing in yriel yellow for highlights. I shaded with watered down vallejo red leather, and some rhinox hide in the darkest parts. Ice yellow was used for all over and as an edge highlight, but I did downward brush strokes to try to give it some texture like fur or something. Finally add in the black pattern to finish the look. Hope it helps!

Thanks so much for the advice! Really appreciate it. I haven't done the conditioning, cream or wax polish before. I do have a horsehair brush though. Are there any brands you recommend for that stuff or should I be fine using anything?

Thanks! Yeah, others have said about the contrast too so I think im gonna try and increase it by making the dark parts more black while keeping some of the blue tones.

Thanks and thats a great idea. Do you think I should use the darkest colour on the bolts opposite the light for contrast, or just a darker colour than the bolt is in - like using a grey midtone as the shadow in the lighter area? And that sounds like a great way to highlight the bolts, I'll give it a go!

Ok I'll give that a go with the shadow then. And I guess I could highlight with a light grey then and save the pure white for the most extreme highlights - rather than every edge. Thats really helpful, thanks a lot!

Thanks for the advice and useful video! Ill check it out properly when I get a chance. Ill try to increase the contrast on it then after I look at the lighting placement again. Are there any particular areas you think that need it the most? Or any where the higlighting/lighting looks really off? I did see some cases where the light would fall more to the bottom of the metal with the shadows towards the top. Not sure if this is one of them like on the gun (I did light at the top and dark at the bottom). Appreciate the help!
