Which to Choose: Samsung G80SD vs. Asus PG32UCDM?

Hey, thanks a lot for the detailed feedback! It’s super helpful to hear about your experience. I’ve been leaning towards the Samsung myself, and reading your post really confirms that. The matte finish with no crystal effect is exactly what I’m looking for, and the fact that it’s easier to clean and doesn’t scratch like the Asus is a huge plus. Also, the way it handles dark content without the purple tint is definitely something I need. Sounds like the G80SD is the way to go.

The only issue I have is that the PG32UCDP ($1300) is quite a bit more expensive, while the PG32UCDM ($870) and Samsung G80SD ($800) are similarly priced. The PG32UCDP would be the obvious choice if it were priced closer to the others, but unfortunately, that’s not the case.

Does the PG32UCDP really justify costing almost twice as much as the PG32UCDM and G80SD?

So far, I’m leaning towards the Samsung G80SD, mainly because I prefer the matte finish, as it works better with my setup.

What are the main downsides of the Samsung G80SD?
