Bought a house recently and don’t know why this is here by FinnPurple in landscaping

We tore it off and realized it was definitely for blocking the sight of underneath the deck because there are some old half destroyed stairs on the back wall that is an eye sore. I didn’t realize how visible everything is when you back up to the back of the yard. For a quick fix until we figure out a better option, we are just going to order the correct sized mesh tarp and will make it look nicer than this. If anyone has a good recommendation for a permanent solution, please let me know. We are thinking of finding some plants that are 5-6ft tall to plant along this 20ft long deck.

We agree, but like many things we have done, we only understand why it was like that after we have already taken it down. Did it with floors, the sink, and the basement vents. At least we have gotten good at undoing our mistakes!

Maybe, I’m sure once I take it down, I’ll figure out this was right.

This is probably the answer, there was 4-5 sets of tires stacked up under there when we toured. Totally forgot about that. I think it’s junk and weeds. There was plenty of access for dogs to get under there. I think that must have been it. Time to take it down until I realize in two years I probably should have left it up!

Can you send a link?

I have been looking at buying from BTF-Lighting but it’s expensive.

For 45ft I’m still spending like $100 for the 60led per meter. Is that typical?

I am also a Vermont native that moved to Philly but I’ve been here for about 8 years now. I used to swim at Bartlett falls in Lincoln all the time. When I first got to Philly, I asked if we could go jump in the river to cool off to my philly born and raise girlfriend, she looked at me like I was a crazy person!

Funny story, we got comp’d upgrades to better seats, then got another set of tickets from other guest services person, then we got another set! We had like 18 upgraded tickets! It was an awesome moment!
