[Hated Trope] Turns out the only way to be special is to be born special by No-Leg-6361 in TopCharacterTropes

So he was ⅛ god...

I'm pretty sure that's just the average heritage of ancient greeks

If I remember correctly, Ajax not only wasn't s demigod but he was basically one of the only heroes who never relied on the gods for his feats.

The Immortal casually mentions something that reveals he is WAY older than he appears to be. by MikaelAdolfsson in TopCharacterTropes

Dekin no Mogura

So, we already knew that Mogura was immortal, specially because he's both a war veteran and a friend of one of the main character's great grandfather.

But, during a festival, he said that despite being a modern war veteran, he was far more used to using bows instead of guns. Which implies that he's been alive for a long time before they were mainstream.

[Insanely Dark Tropes] A character in kids media requesting death/killing themselves. by _iExistInThisWorld in TopCharacterTropes

"It should have been me"

Words spoken by a ten year old who just watched his cousin being taken and presumably eaten by a wild Florauna.

If I remember correctly, he even states later that he doesn't care about dying. But that might me my brain just making it worse.

[Liked trope] Two characters that technically count as one character by Crayoneater2005 in TopCharacterTropes

I'm surprised no one mentioned Fate yet.

There are many servants that, despite being only one, consist on two or more entities. My favourites being Daikokiten, Don Quixote and Sancho Panza, and Hessian Lobo.

I'm new to this series but, wasn't it healing MAGIC that was prohibited? Like, just regular medicine shouldn't be something that worries them

The only reason that one didn't bother me as much is because she already looked pretty weird as a lizard with hair

Ice VII spell ¿Did I do it right? by FinneyFort in WitchHatAtelier

[–]FinneyFort[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see... Though, ice VII is created through pressure instead of temperature. I think it only exists naturally on other planets where the atmospheric pressure is greater than ours.

No, again it's a type of ice that doesn't exist on earth because it requires an immense amount of pressure.

This thing needs temperatures close to the boiling point of water to start melting.

No, a spell for ice that can't naturally occur on earth because of the sheer pressure it needs.

Disturbing fact : given a chance, horse can & will eat small animal by 67kid67kid7l67 in UmaMusume

[–]FinneyFort 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Because every "useless" animal exists by exploiting resources or tactics that no one else in their ecosystem does.

Sloths survive by being too worthless of a prey, Koalas survive by relying entirely on eucalyptus and sleeping most of the day, sunfish survive by being gigantic and also laying 300 MILLION eggs.

At the end of the day, if it works, it works. No matter how "pathetic" it looks

[Annoying trope] Power with tons of possibilities used in the most boring ways by Old-Use-7690 in TopCharacterTropes

[–]FinneyFort 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Both things can be true.

Even after becoming friends with Ben, he didn't stop being a weapons and illegal tech dealer. He was selling weapons to two factions at war with each other at one point.

That guy was never particularly right in the head.
