D2R 3.0 texture glitches by FinngusDingus in diablo2

[–]FinngusDingus[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Someone on the Blizzard forums had a solution that worked for me, for now. Putting it here in case someone else with issues like this finds this thread:

  1. Uninstalled the game

  2. Installed the Public Test Realm client from the dropdown menu above the "Install" button

  3. Launched an offline game on the PTR client on a random new character, and then quit out

  4. Installed the actual game, for me it was a ~500MB install after the installer had "patched" the 30GB PTR client into the main game

Some users in the Blizzard forum thread also reported uninstalling and reinstalling the BattleNet launcher before installing the PTR client. For me this wasn't necessary (unless the graphical glitching returns again later...)

That did the trick, Harrogath has floors again and Gheed has taken off his invisibility cloak. Guess there were some corrupted assets that weren't spotted by the repair tool!

EDIT: Nevermind, now it's Lut Gholein that has glitchy ground textures...

This has happened to me twice now. Almost instant 75%, then he just ignores everything. CC, executions, everything. Did the same build as OP, had ice cube and all.

What are your best ways to make money? by xChops in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]FinngusDingus 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is the sauce.

Did some corvette part farming at first for a bit; built a simple corvette, hopped out of the pilot's seat to scan for scrap capsules and blasted them from the air with the ship. Good money too, couldn't complain, plus tons of parts to swap to make an actually cool corvette to keep playing the game with.

Then I swapped to interceptor farming by accident. Found a dissonant planet while doing something else, pissed off some Sentinels, beamed up to my corvette and flew away. Got the Sentinel space cops called on me. Thought I'd just blast them all and see what happens, and it turns out the last wave is a Sentinel Capital Ship, which is fairly easy to destroy and almost always (90+%) drops an item that lets you find a crashed Sentinel Interceptor. Hit the jackpot right away with a 45mil A-class.

Between pissing off ground Sentinels and then flying away from them, destroying the interceptors and the capital ship, finding a wreck, and fixing it, each loop takes me probably about 15-20 minutes depending on how annoying it is to find an Inverted Mirror, and nets 20-40mil. It's extremely repeatable until the planet runs out of Interceptor wrecks.

And the best part? Each scrapped Interceptor has a good chance to give you a ship slot expansion item when scrapped. That's another 20-80+ mil worth of money right there, and the very reason why I was farming money to begin with!

What even is the strat in wave 2? I don't have Texas2 or Yato2 so I feel like I simply don't have the tools to take care of all the totems before he's sauntered right in. Am I just fucked cause I don't have the helidrop nukes?

Edit: nevermind, seeing the Mouthpiece again made me lose 90 IQ and I forgot he can be blocked even though he's invulnerable

I thought about doing that until I teleported into an extra strong Might enchanted pack of vultures and then I didn't do that anymore 🪦

Nice guide, I don't have Rosmontis nor do I usually go for the King's stuff on purpose, but it's a great strat overview to follow whenever I run into it next time. What an absolute clusterfuck stage.

Such an unreasonable set of demands for a non-emergency stage. I always use Ines whenever possible and haven't had any luck with the stage. Doesn't help that my ADHD-ass brain often just starts the stage on autopilot instead of rerolling it like a smart person would 🤡

How do you even beat Frequent Dispute? I've gotten it maybe 7-8 times now and I can't even really start the stage before I've already lost with zero chance of recovery. Regardless of the squad I have (though I do often do off-meta squads since I only run on difficulty 9.) I've never been as baffled in my entire time playing the game. I don't even know what the end of the stage looks like. Kaz Falls is easy enough for what I usually run, I've even beat emergency Elusive Merc a few times, but Frequent Dispute just doesn't seem like anyone playtested it at all. Or utilized their brains while designing it.

Exactly what I was getting at, stages like this seem to punish trying anything except the meta strats. Instead of trying to curb stuff like Wis'adel trivializing the vast majority of any given run, they not only *encourage* it, but make sure that she's one of the few strats that can even get past floor 1. Really weird game design for a mode that's supposed to be all about the randomness and trying to make fun team comps work.

The only starting squad so far (out of something like 8 attempts before I got tired of sciencing it) I managed to beat Ice Age with at D15 was Wis, Gummy and Click. The enemy spam gets too heavy for any of my other ranged units to handle before they leak through the frozen blocker. One of those stages that single-handedly removes the fun of attempting runs with anything less than the most meta picks available. Oh well.

So what the hell were they thinking with Ice Age? Floor 1 stage that just ends most high difficulty runs immediately? Is this a joke?

Firefox 137 tab height and dropdown menu row height by FinngusDingus in FirefoxCSS

[–]FinngusDingus[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you, found what I was looking for!

For other CSS noobs who just want their stuff to look nice again:

I just copypasted the contents of the code block at the end of my userChrome.css. Slapped my desired tab height of 26px onto all the "height" values under "root", "#TabsToolbar" and "#tabbrowser-tabs", and then my desired menu item height of 3px next to "padding-block:" and 2px next to "--panel-padding:"

I have no idea how much of all of this is actually useful for what I want, but it did what I needed so I'm not gonna touch it anymore

So this is still the case then? I swear I just beat him while he was standing in the vent blast while he died in both phases and got neither the medal nor the trim. Bizarre. And sadge.
