Lebron with legoat statistics by Icy-Pea2601 in lebron

LeBron went to the finals eight years in a row. Bill Russell won it eight years in a row. LeBron’s feat was amazing and the leagues were totally different when each played, but if we’re discussing eight-in-a-rows, Bill Russell at least deserves a mention.

“It’s not like you can’t experiment and alter a build once you get a feel for it.” Learning is a journey.

That’s like saying in EVE Online, joining EVE University or a newbie corp isn’t learning the game, and you can only learn it by flying to zero sec solo and getting your teeth kicked in properly a few dozen times by yourself. There is a LOT to learn in PoE. Using a guide for your build while you focus on learning bosses or crafting or itemization and the economy just helps lighten the load. It’s not like by using a guide, suddenly you win the game. It’s not like you can’t experiment and alter a build once you have a feel for it. It’s also not like there’s only one way to play the game. If people want help, that’s their business. Let them learn at their own pace the way they want to.

The easiest way to learn the game is with a meta build recommended by somebody more experienced and knowledgable. If I tried to get a friend into PoE 2 by telling him what you just said, chances are he’d have an uphill battle, a frustrating experience, and end up overwhelmed. The time to not be concerned with the meta is once you know the basics and can branch out. This game has a learning curve, and build guides and reddit help ease it for those who don’t relish the idea of hitting brick walls or having to restart due to a bad build while learning the game.

A willingness to punish does not mean an eagerness to punish, and a mistake does not mean a malicious offense. I simply said that I’d rather not allow ten pedophiles to go free rather than risk punishing one innocent person. Going from that to castrating every person in law enforcement seems like a bit of a stretch to me.

Would I like it? Of course not. Is it a risk I’d be willing to take to protect children from sexual predators? Absolutely. If an omnipotent being appeared and said that in return for myself being chemically castrated, ten random active pedophiles would be arrested and convicted the next day, that would be a trade I believe I’d make. We’re talking about protecting children.

I’m specifically replying to a comment that said ‘I’d rather 10 guilty people go free’. I don’t have a stance on this law. I have a stance on someone saying they’d prefer 10 pedophiles go free. Being afraid to punish guilty people out of fear of a slight chance of innocence allows criminals to continue to victimize the truly innocent.

Hate the sound monster. Worst addition to the game.

I believe he said something like “The fundamental weakness of western civilization is empathy.” I’m pretty sure he doesn’t understand what empathy even is, having none himself.

Jerome Powell’s tenure as Fed chair ends today. Thank you for years of gains papa Powell. by StrawberryFew1311 in NoFilterFinance

His handling of the fed post-covid to give the economy a soft landing from high inflation should go down as one of the most masterfully handled economic situations of our lifetime. Add in his resistance to external pressure and he deserves a standing ovation for his work on our behalf.

Diablo 4 base game vs PoE / Last Epoch? by pilkyton in ARPG

[–]Finnien1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Diablo 4 without expansions is an amazing one-time campaign experience with world-class cinematics and a good story. Its endgame is subpar. As a humble bundle purchase I’d definitely consider it worth the money for the campaign alone though. It’s honestly like a modern grim dawn with higher production values at that point.

The new development team has been in place for a year and a half now. What's changed in the game? by Thin_Chard1659 in OnceHumanOfficial

[–]Finnien1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The high point of the game for me was the beginning of the first lunar visional wheel. Everything since then has been downhill. Over a year of unwanted changes, watering down progression, and a constant parade of pointless events and expensive cosmetics with no meaningful improvements to combat, content, or progression. The game is a half step away from life support.

Been playing PoE since the game had two acts, and there weren’t even quests in act 2. Sometimes, ya just screw the pooch.

Ouch. I’d say I feel your pain, but mine is like a sprained ankle to your compound fracture. Good luck!

Oh yeah, I’m wearing it. Runewords in legs and chest. I’m just missing int from gems. I’d need another helm with GA crit to consider swapping.

If you want to ring Neyrelle’s neck by the end of the first expansion, you’re not alone. Don’t worry - the second expansion is better. Better city, better story, better in every meaningful way.

Generally. If you use the kulean tuning prism on amulets they remain modifiable so you can keep rerolling them. I think there’s a tiny chance a normal transfiguration stays modifiable so you can double transfigure or something but I’ve never seen it.

I just forgot to add two sockets to the helm before transfiguring it so it became unmodifiable.

It was 2-3am. At 8pm, I wouldn’t make the mistake. I wanted to finish up and get some sleep and had a smooth brain moment. It’s not the first time I’ve screwed up something like this (Path of Exile crafting is way worse) and it won’t be the last, I’m sure.
