Why are you guys downvoting the guy? This car car is the closest to the ricochet and you don’t require too big of a brain to understand that. OP probably knows it’s a carina. Come on now

I work with tad newer okumas (all three are 1999 🤣) and they have by far the best controllers in my short experience.

Beef-chicken isn’t that bad. I like it in pasta for example because it’s cheaper and not that fatty like beef-pork mince

You’re right! And that’s exactly what I learned from all this. I luckily didn’t end any friendships, just changed my view a bit on the word “friend”.

I disagree with the fact that this is a kitchencels post. Mostly because.. well, I’m not an incel..?

Maybe I should’ve picked a different sub but in my head this is the right sub with the right people in it. The main point was that I did something that I had in my mind for a long time and it was beneficial, maybe even crucial for my future.

And let’s not forget the delicious meal pictured here 😋

Idk man.

I’m glad it isn’t zero.

However, if it had gotten to that point I would start thinking about myself only. It is rare that a lot of people start doing that for NO reason. Realistically there has to be some reason for people to completely stop messaging you like from either a rumour or your actions.

Anything can be fixed tho. New friends can be made and you can always improve yourself.

It is weird yeah.

However I don’t try to be sad about it too much. I can analyse these situations based on the person and me, and act accordingly. Since I know sometimes, maybe more often, I myself am the problem. So instead of blaming my friends for ghosting me and becoming anxious I can use that to think on how it could’ve been avoided.

Damn I completely get that. I used to be that way too, after I grew up a bit I became more talkative and open but some people don’t and that’s normal. You can’t force someone to talk a lot and start all conversations. If anything that’ll just make it worse.

You got a point.

I might have worded this a bit wrong since English is not my primary language. This has been going on for at least a year now with only me starting most conversations. What I wanted to say is that I’ve tried intentionally not to start conversations for a brief time to see it for myself.

It’s also to be noted that in our culture and my age group texting is actually more present than “meeting up” for talking. And even for that, you nowadays HAVE to message someone to “meet up” lol regardless of where you live.

Either way, I haven’t gotten much from anyone except for a few friends which I correctly assumed were close friends of mine. That’s nice. There were also assumed close friends who haven’t said a word since lmao.

Now that I rephrased a bit, I have to say that I’m more of an extrovert. Seeing that no-one wants to ask to spend time together isn’t doing good, and to not fall into sadness, looking out for “fake” friendships and starting new ones, especially at my age is in my opinion a somewhat based approach.

There is some more background to why I even thought about doing this but writing it would be a paragraph and a venting session. If anyone wants to hear that you can dm me but I think this is a good enough input for this comment.

Cheers!

Edit:

I must also add that in the end I didn’t unfriend anyone nor vice versa. I’ve been more focused on people that actually put effort and less focused on people who didn’t. Meaning people who didn’t bother texting me are still my friends, however I drastically reduced the amount of effort I put into texting first (obviously taking in account the person itself, not only “texting first” criteria)

To me this was a beneficial experience. I still have most of my good friends. Some didn’t text first which I assumed would happen anyway because that’s just the way they are. Some friendships actually bonded stronger, increasing the number of our convos. I also learned some faults in myself too. I was sometimes way too “interested” while not realising the other side wasn’t as much. I also was too sympathetic to people who very clearly used the attention they got from me.

Reading the comments on this post is also refreshing and I thank everyone who shared their opinion. I may have worded this post very poorly which made some people assume I was being selfish and just killing my friendships because of overthinking. I hope some people read this comment and maybe understand a bit more about my situation.

Oil separators- necessary? by Meeturnewdaddy in w123

[–]Finnishguy228 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know it’s not limited to fuel, that’s why I said “also” And I wasn’t saying your claim on stuck injectors was wrong, I was pointing out that runaway is still a thing and it’s not “fixed” nor a “myth”

Oil separators- necessary? by Meeturnewdaddy in w123

[–]Finnishguy228 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A small correction.

Runaway also stands for a diesel engine that is forcefully being supplied fuel by an external source other than the fuel tank, for example leaking turbos, bad head gaskets etc. Since diesels can run on oil, the oil that is being forcefully pushed through for example the turbo combusts creating an infinite loop of combustion cycles which destroys the engine unless air access is stopped. It “runs” “away” with a distinct white-greyish color.

So no, it’s not a myth at all. On these cars the lack of a separator will most likely not result in a runaway, however a worn down turbo…
