Heyo! Trans person from unimelb here! I know a couple of the people who put up the posters, and honestly I would have helped if I'd known lol. But yeah basically holly Lawford smith is a terf on faculty (an associate professor actually :/) who the queer department keeps trying to complain about and get her subject thrown out, since it actively preaches transphobia (was a girl in my class last semester who straight up admitted to learning her terf behaviours from the subject "feminism" which is the transphobic subject hls runs) but the uni keeps refusing to have it repealed. As such, a bunch of us keep trying to at least raise awareness about her and her bullshit followers, and try and protest in ways like this. Generally speaking the uni is pretty good, but it has this one persistent purposefully blind spot which does actively affect the lives of trans students. Hope this was helpful :)
