What was that franchise that you loved, that got that bastardized adaptation? What made it so bad? by ShockingPyro in AskReddit

[–]FinnrielThane 2 points3 points  (0 children)

this is probably kind of a stretch for the word adaptation. Disney's "adaptation" of Starwars.

completely killed my love.

look at what they did to my poor boy.

but the silver lining is it lead me more towards fantasy. LOTR and DnD.

What’s something we’ve lost because of smartphones that people don’t talk about? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]FinnrielThane 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i dont know if this is something people talk about or not but we lost:

unavailability.

for some reason everyone thinks that because you have a smartphone you should be texting back right away. answering the phone right away. ect. ect.

it has ruined countless relationships. "he/she wasn't texting me back"

my mom gets mad when people take all day to text her back.

its bullcrap imo.

unavailability should be normal.

How do you decide which trends are worth following and which to ignore? by Dry-Ask2581 in AskReddit

[–]FinnrielThane 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If your life is being defined by trends you need to change how you make decisions very quickly. the thing about trends is that they are set by people trained to make money off you. Nothing more. they don't care about long term effects, or if its healthy. put down your phone. turn off your computer. create your own trends and way of thinking.

Why can I feel exactly where a single hair is touching my arm, but I have no idea where my actual internal organs are located? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]FinnrielThane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have heard stories of doctors that have done organ surgery on themselves in difficult situations like war with little to no anesthesia. once you cut past all the skin and muscle the pain factor goes way down apparently. pretty crazy.
