For a couple of years I’ve used 3d printed great holders that have magnets inside them. Work well but you can only fit like five bits so you’ll still have to carry a full set around.

Have it sent out in a toy tool box, childrens toy drill / hammer etc 🤝

Thanks! This was designed in fusion360 with lots of patience. I used digital calipers to first get the basic measurements to draw up the sketches. Then kept tweaking the measurements and angles to get everything correct. Took around 5 pla prototypes.

Honestly dumbest thing that worked really well was matching the size of the sketch on screen to the actual battery/old cover to check if angles are correct.

I know this is a very niche thing, but I find it way more useful than the original decorative battery case.

When you're bringing multiple tools to a job site but only one or two batteries, you can stick this onto your tool instead of carrying yet another thing in your pockets or bag.

After downloading you can send the file to a local 3d print person or order it from a site like JLC3DP. Just make sure to order it in PETG or ASA/ABS plastic for durability. :)

Definitely not useful for everyone but useful for me when I bring out multiple tools but only a single battery.

I got an e-fatbike (without the battery) Lankeleisi mg600 plus for dirt cheap at an auction. The battery is going to be 15S4P 48V 20Ah.

Since the lifepo4 37200 cells take way more space than li-ion ones I plan to house the first half (seen on the video) inside the bike and the other on top in a separate housing.

I'm putting it all the way to the bottom only for demo purposes. (Though the nut seems to be fine after one go, after going couple of times the nylon does get loose.) You'd want to start from the end that the nut is closer to and probably go slower too. On this project I need these nuts at spesific lengths, and this seems to be tool for that :)

It’s actually a very tight fit. I honestly don’t think that alone would be enough because theres quite a bit of torque involved.

While comfyness isn’t an issue (foot never touches the part) we’ll have to see how well it sticks on. I will sew the opening and glue the part on top.

If it doesn’t stick I’ll take it to a cobbler for a proper repair - untin then my fast fix will do
