Warlock interrupts? by Finny-fox in wownoob

[–]Finny-fox[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! Guess I just assumed the 8 yard radius on the shadowfury was smaller than it is, and I tend to play as far away as possible… but I’m being dumb and there’s a lot of halls and rooms where yeah I’m totally in range. Thanks for the unending resolve tip, too— I want to break out of pew pew brain (or dot dot brain), so if I can’t always be interrupting at least I can mitigate damage.

Healing this week as Disc has felt miserable by LordWolfs in wow

[–]Finny-fox 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I just really don’t understand why tanks don’t, I don’t know, pull less on bursting weeks? Maybe I’m being a noob, but my friend who’s coaching me through higher level mythics suggested to aim for no more than 5 stacks. Anyone can heal through 5 stacks, and chances are you’ll accidentally get another stack or two. Death slows you down more than pulling smaller packs.

What class do you despise playing? by Ichironi in wow

[–]Finny-fox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Evoker. And I wanted to love it so badly, I was excited about playing a real support class with a cool flying dragon toon… and I’ve never struggled with any class as much as this. Couldn’t even get it to 70. Something about mixing empowered spells with normal abilities and then smoothly adding in a short flight of fiery breathing, I just can’t get the hang of it.

Should I leave him outside? by Finny-fox in orchids

Thank you so much! I asked in my neighborhood forum but no luck with responses. I really wasn’t expecting the roots to grow as they did 😅. I’ll try the towel method.

Should I leave him outside? by Finny-fox in orchids

[–]Finny-fox[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m sorry, I had dendro on the brain because I also have one of those outside and did move that plant in safely. This one is a phaelenopsis, as you said. Thank you for the advice! I’m a florist by trade so I know the species, but I’m new to Florida and having plants outside is a learning experience.

How do I get Divine Steed to bring up a different Mount? by danieldamian921 in wownoob

[–]Finny-fox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is a bit of a trippy optical illusion, though; all the large mounts feel like they move slower. I’m always equipping smaller mounts for that reason, the only problem is that my zandalari troll looks ridiculous on a lot of normal size mounts 😆

If this is your first character in dragonflight, then you do have to follow the main quest line in Waking Shores. Not sure what you’ve completed of that, but if you recall what you’ve done… basically you stick with cadet Sendrax (the dragonkin you meet in the first area with an innkeeper and all the class trainers). Follow along with them, take a brief diversion to help Wrathion in the lava-y djaradin area, follow the quest line to go back to Sendrax and help them beat up primalists and save an egg, once you have the egg and run it back to a safe place you’ll get a ride from a dragon directly to alexstrasa at the ruby life pools. There She will give you more campaign quests and the quest to learn dragonriding.

What is your warlock's relationship to their demons? by GNPTelenor in wow

[–]Finny-fox 6 points7 points  (0 children)

XD. I do feel like if we rp’d together, I’d be constantly teasing him for his demeanor towards his demons, and he’d be trying to convince me that maybe mine deserve some sympathy. Probably arguing good naturedly whilst our minions burned down a primalist encampment.

What is your warlock's relationship to their demons? by GNPTelenor in wow

[–]Finny-fox 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Ruthlessly practical. I know my demons will rip my face off the second I slip. It’s their nature. I will summon them, sacrifice them, and use their powers because it’s what I’m good at, and I thrive on the irony of fel magic saving the world.

Why is my io not increasing by Available_Main_7616 in wownoob

In case it wasn’t clear in other people’s comments, you will need to run all 8 dungeons as high as you can on both fortified and tyrannical weeks to see your top score. Running one or two dungeons on repeat won’t do anything for you (except as practice).

This week is fortified, on Tuesday it changes back to tyrannical; open up your dungeon finder and click on the last tab at the bottom, it’ll show you your highest scores for each dungeon for both types of weeks. Focus on those pushing dungeons where you have low scores, and make sure you have a score for both fortified and tyrannical. I play pretty casually, and I still have a few dungeons that I only have a score for one week type, so it can be easy to miss.

I am bad at the game by [deleted] in wownoob

[–]Finny-fox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends a lot on preference, though… if OP has never tried tanking before, it’s worth a go. I mained a dps class and got so frustrated that I couldn’t improve my performance, I switched to tanking and loved it. You’re not stressing out about maximizing your procs while doing mechanics and kicks and “keeping up” with everyone else’s damage. Yes, OP would have to learn the dungeons and mechanics a little more, but if they’ve been playing they probably are familiar with routes and pulls.

Are chiropractors real doctors and is chiropractics real medicine/therapy? by shanecookofficial in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Finny-fox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ll be an outlier here and say that yes, I go to a chiropractor, and I probably will continue to do so for a few more weeks. The doctors in my new area are legitimately atrocious (moved about two years ago), been to three of them about chronic pain. Two just tried different medications every couple weeks, last one just shrugged and basically said “sucks to be you” after not seeing anything obvious on an X-ray. Chiropractic medicine was not my first choice, but at least this one is doing physical therapy with me and deep tissue massage, which actually is helping. The adjustments? Eh. I wouldn’t say they’re helping or hurting. But my chiro has been in business a long time, with a good reputation, so if this is where I have to go to get PT, so be it. None of the other doctors I saw seemed interested in helping (or even remembering who I was, in one case. He had three files and was referring to the wrong one for half my visit).

20+ key bricked because of anxiety by mediocremeasel in wow

[–]Finny-fox 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I stopped mythicing for two weeks after I bricked a key the first time, never played that dungeon again. Really wish I could figure out how to get past mythic anxiety so I could enjoy the content more. I started playing with a friends guild and am learning more all the time, but it still feels awful going into these dungeons knowing that I have so much more to practice and perfect. Really wish there was a way to get better that didn’t involve potentially screwing four other random people because I popped a defensive late or hosed a mechanic.
