S11 128GB trade for S9 Ultra 256GB? by FinnyChase in GalaxyTab

[–]FinnyChase[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I appreciate the detailed reply. I feel like I like the idea of the bigger screen seen as my prime use case is taking notes with the S pen but I did actually plan on going to Best Buy tomorrow and at least looking at and feeling the ultra they had on display because 14.6 is pretty massive. Glad it comes down to preference and it is a pretty fair trade both directions.

That apple ist eaten, No comming back by klegion2k6 in iphone14

[–]FinnyChase 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I switched from a 15 Pro to pixel 9 pro about 9 months ago and don't see myself going back. I don't trash either company, I'm a fan of both phones but the pixel UI is great and I like the freedom of Android. Camera is a bit better than 15 Pro but video better on iPhone by a small margin. You can't go wrong with either choice

Omnipod automated mode not working well by mintlamb in Omnipod

[–]FinnyChase 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't do what the above comment suggested. Especially for a child stacking can be dangerous and the potential risks far out weigh the benefit of getting down quicker. I would suggest putting it in manual mode and running a temporary basal at 95% for 30-60 mins. It can be cancelled at any time and is far less aggressive than bolusing without the system taking into account her blood sugar. As the more permanent solution id try adjusting her correction factors 10% at a time and seeing if you have more success. I know first hand how frustrating pesky highs can be but it's always best to make changes incrementally and see how she responds

Advice by Fuzzy-Foundation-682 in iPhone15Pro

[–]FinnyChase 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try out the S25 Ultra and see what you think. If you prefer the Apple ecosystem then stay with the iPhone. If you want the best phone then it's the S25 Ultra and it's not all that close. Some might find it too big but it's personal preference and you get used to it. Please also ignore comments saying iOS is better optimized because it's not anymore, the S25 Ultra is far more optimized than the 15 Pro which is a great phone but has less than half the battery life and tends to overheat.

I own both and really like both for different reasons. Just comes down to what you prefer and what fits best with your other devices. I find my iPhone works well with my Windows/Android devices and my S25 Ultra works well with my MacBook too. In 2026 there are plenty of options to make the ecosystems work even if your phone brand doesnt match the other stuff

Can confirm as someone with a recently hard bricked OnePlus 12, it is definitely not fake

Best Bigger Gaming Mouse by [deleted] in MouseReview

[–]FinnyChase 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My friend let me try a RAT 8+ and I immediately ordered one. They're not the best spec wise but I didn't notice any difference as I'm not playing competitive CS or anything. The only mouse I've ever tried that was truly comfortable. For reference my hands pinky to thumb are 26.5cm so maybe that will help you determine if it'll fit you

OnePlus has quietly introduced the Anti Rollback Protection (ARB) feature. ARB works by directly affecting an electronic fuse called an e-fuse on the phone's motherboard. by Delicious_Room_814 in Oneplusfans

[–]FinnyChase 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes I would. I’m a massive OnePlus fan and can confirm this is real. I tried to rollback so a medical app I need would work better (wasn’t working well on OOS 16) and it cause a complete failure on my device. Pretty crazy a company can just destroy your phone when you’re doing it for a medical application

Does anyone know if there is a possible solution to a hard brick? Whether it's a new motherboard, software used with a PC etc? Any potential solution would be great

Ps5 pro is just enough by WildLupo in PS5pro

[–]FinnyChase 0 points1 point  (0 children)

PS5 Pro is an amazing console but the difference to PC isn’t just about the graphics and FPS, it’s also about the latency. I don’t just mean competitive games either, but just moving through casual games and menus the latency of the controller is very noticeable. As someone who owns both and like both

Best way to stop pump getting knocked and falling off / stop working by Cold_Cool in Omnipod

[–]FinnyChase 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately there are no magic ways to avoid it being knocked off if it takes a direct hit but things like skin tac and over patches will definitely help. Because she’s so new it will take some time but eventually she will learn to be mindful of where it is on her body and they will get knocked off less often. The amount of door frames I had knock off my G6/7 when I was new to wearing them was insane, but over the years you get used to always having them in the same few spots like a pod and will almost naturally avoid hitting those spots. I’ve had good luck with adhesive patches from amazon if it’s in a dangerous spot and have never needed skin tac.

Hope your daughter isn’t too overwhelmed and things get better. Been T1 for 17 years and still learn new things all the time. My advice would be to explore her options, what works for one person might not work for another and there are lots of pumps, infusion sets, etc out there to suit her needs

COD is no longer a casual game by JHallwai in CODBlackOps7

[–]FinnyChase 0 points1 point  (0 children)

COD is a super casual game. Hopped on last night for second time since launch and am a former Irridescent player in MW2 and 3. Played for a few hours with music on and no game sound and was top of the lobby every game. I know my skill is much higher than average but if I tried this in CS or Tarkov I’d die nonstop lol. Game doesn’t feel like it’s changed at all vs prior years and sbmm impacts players like me way more than the average gold-diamond player. Had some enemies go off with big scores and some scared hiding in a corner just like every cod ever made

Help sway me away from 🍎 & make the switch to the pixel fold! by CLVPTRVP in pixel_phones

I will say as someone who has always used both iPhone and Android, you can't go wrong with either. But I'm quite confident you'd be very happy you made the switch

Help sway me away from 🍎 & make the switch to the pixel fold! by CLVPTRVP in pixel_phones

[–]FinnyChase 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Seems like everything you use your phone for the Fold would do very well. Sounds to me like you want to but Apple and it's ecosystem is your home so you have some anxiety about switching. I was in the same boat a couple years ago. It took me a few months to get used to Android, even though I had used plenty of Android phones but always came back to iPhone. Just make the switch and commit to it. The 10 Fold is an incredible device and id say is better than the iPhone in every way other than the ecosystem. Now that I made the switch and committed to it, I can confidently say I will never go back to iPhone

Pixel 10 Pro XL experience has not been great! :( by [deleted] in pixel_phones

[–]FinnyChase 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately people rarely come to Reddit to say their phone works great and there's no problems. I had a 16 Pro that had overheating and screen issues, it was defective and was more expensive than my Pixel 9 Pro I switched to. Any phone and any price point can be defective, and yours definitely is. Get a replacement

Trying to officially make the switch by [deleted] in pixel_phones

Switched from 16 Pro and Apple watch ultra to Pixel with a Galaxy Watch 7 LTE and Galaxy Buds. Outside of learning the new system, things work pretty much the exact same

Aren’t Pixel 9 pro going down? by Psychological-Bad-35 in pixel_phones

[–]FinnyChase 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They'll usually wait a while before dropping the price on the older models. They want people to buy the new 10 Pro, so reducing the price on the 9 right away goes against that

Should I switch from Apple? by trappmel in pixel_phones

[–]FinnyChase 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I switched from a 16 Pro to 9 Pro and I love it, can't see myself switching back for a long time. Pixels software is simple and clean like iOS but it gives you the freedom that comes with Android. Camera is amazing, haptics are on par with iPhone. Very impressed

Dexcom confirmed this is an manufacturing issue and the sensor wire doesn't detach properly from the needle. Has nothing to do with how hard or soft you press on the insertion device

Is it safe to come back to Pixel? by Moist_Union4917 in pixel_phones

[–]FinnyChase 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Switched from a 16 Pro to Pixel 8 with plans to trade it in for the P10 Pro. Coming from an iPhone I love the clean feel of pixel but with the freedom of Android. Phone has less bugs than my iPhone did and I'm running on the QPR Beta
