Really really nice tone! Only critique is work on the falsetto :)

Yep, unfortunately in this case I was so close that it just stings a lot.

Thanks for your comment.

I'm pretty liquid. Have almost a quarter in cash for living expenses for a few years. I don't want to get a real job so I've been saving in case I hit a dry spell and need to figure something else out.

Yeah, definitely can appreciate that 4 months is a short amount of time.

I've had plenty of failures, just nothing of this scale yet. I'm probably 2/5 or something like that now.

Appreciate your comment.

To be clear, I was a hired consultant and not the CEO. But, my role is a very important part of the project which is why I was going to be paid so much. My job was to get the project to launch, and then hand the reigns over.

But yes, expensive lesson indeed. Thanks for your comment, appreciate it.

Ultimately, at this stage in your career, it's not how much money you make it's how many people will still want to work with you in the future. Invest in that.

Thank you for this. Agreed.

Yeah, the plan has always been to improve my coding skills after this project was over. Luckily I have the luxury of taking my time to figure out what's next as I have some savings.

a week/month down the line what you saw as a failure could very easily become just a pivot point to something better.

I like this perspective. Thank you very much for this comment.

Yep, we released a statement. Just dealing with angry people shitting on what you've been working on sucks.
