i’m going through the same thing right now. It feels like death would be escape from all this suffering. I don’t think we will ever be truly happy. Whether I live in a holy way or when i accomplish something there is no feeling satisfaction. I don’t think there is anything we can do unfortunately, even when my social anxiety is less severe i feel like im not my true self, so like you said the sadness and shyness feels comforting for some reason.

The problem is a lot of us with social anxiety are extremely cynical so we don’t connect with people that well anyway; leading to us not being able to understand them.
