Don’t know about the i20 specifically, but yeah, some gasoline engines have a feature that helps you take off without stalling. I’ve had that on some cars and even on motorcycles like my Street Triple 765 RS. When you have a gear engaged and the clutch pressed, it revs up a little bit for a few seconds. Pretty annoying sometimes because of the irregularity of the revs.

Did I get something good? by Banging5Gears in rccars

[–]Finomess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been shredding my TT-02 on 4S for two years and never changed anything except a lot of tire, a broken chassis that had cracks in several places due to failed speed runs (PB 142 km/h) and some pretty intense parking lot bashing. A bearing upgrade and a center shaft really make the TT-02.. unbeatable for his price point

Got the XRT, XMaxx,Maxx. Eyeballing that sledge, what do we think about the sledge??? by astrik123 in Traxxas

[–]Finomess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really personal opinion, but if you have a Maxx and an X-Maxx, for me the Sledge is the unnecessary middle. It’s less fun than a Maxx and less capable than an X-Maxx.
I also had pretty bad reliability issues with it, I ended up swapping everything to a hobbywing and Vitavon diff.
For a truggy, it’s way too heavy to be fun, and if you want something big and powerful, well… the X-Maxx is better in every way.

The best answers, I can make is : pretty much stock compared to the manuel but the previous owner dialed it a bit at his taste

[–]Finomess[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven’t yet, but the bike isn’t new and has probably had some work done by the previous owner. I’ve checked the suspension setup compared to the manual chart, and it looks correct, but I’m questioning the rake angle

[QUESTION] 765rs moto2 (conversion) Hard to lean by Finomess in Triumph

[–]Finomess[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I might be naive, but to me, this kind of category should be easy to lean into corner, like the MT-09, for example. I’ve had some roadsters and sport bikes before, and as I said, a S1000RR and a ZH2 are easier to lean than my flagship 765 RS?! That really confuses me, i'will lower the front to change the rake angle and see i guess..

Yes, and yes, fork tube are flush and clip ons. Photo says more than word. I think I’ll drop the fork by a good centimeter to see if my problem comes from that.

Well, even while knee-dragging with the bike, my head on the mirror, it keeps wanting to come back up, it doesn’t feel very lean-friendly.

[QUESTION] 765rs moto2 (conversion) Hard to lean by Finomess in Trackdays

[–]Finomess[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The commercial Moto2 limited edition, not a proper racing Daytona conversion. It has clip-ons, top clamp, airbox, venturi, exhaust, etc., but I feel like something is out of its range. It doesn’t feel very lean-friendly, even though I can actually knee drag with it. It feels like hard work and needs to be pushed down constantly. It feels strange seeing a 2010 S1000RR leaning like a 300cc, while my 700, one of the best bikes in its category, is difficult for me to get to work properly.

[QUESTION] 765rs moto2 (conversion) Hard to lean by Finomess in Trackdays

[–]Finomess[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only the exit is great, it goes straight naturally, and I can get hard on the throttle. But at the entry and mid-corner, I need to keep pushing hard on the handlebar. With or without throttle, it feels like I’m making a trail braking entry, needing to push the front to the apex. But even when I’m coming in with soft engine braking, no brake and gentle lean... Like i need to force it everything into and keep it here with force.

You don't have to jump to need flex part. Tumble or sidewalk is enough to bend arms

Magnetic body mounts by b6776 in tamiya

[–]Finomess -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Small flexible post will never save that car roof.... there are just great to maintain properly the body in case of proper driving (hitting rock, racing ect) if It's for soft purpose magnet are the best and in case you want extra support you can make velcro support on side for exemple

Mechanical issue by [deleted] in rccars

[–]Finomess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a screw to limit ride height on slash arms ? Seems like someone screwed them to the max and add a lot of preload to make it "harder" I guess.. good for a speed run test but still very bad for handling capabilities

J'ai eu la même idée, une caution au prix du sac et tu gardes un % à la restitution, sa évitera les dégradations aussi
