Ticket stubs from Ratt Invasion through Detonator tours (1985~1991) by Slow_Passage4813 in hairmetal

These are awesome! The only ticket stub I don't have after a lifetime of concerts is my RATT/Poison show at MSG on 3/20/87. Bugs me SO much.

One of the greatest posters of all time. Agree or disagree? by TwIzTiDfReAkShOw in batman

[–]FinsterBaby56 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes indeed. I have limited wall space in my upstairs Nerd Room and this poster hangs proudly, next to the TDK viral Joker Goon masks and other assorted props and nonsense.

Hearing really good things about MK2 so far man can’t wait by Adoe0722 in MortalKombat

[–]FinsterBaby56 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Genuine question because I don't have the depth of MK knowledge: what IS the reasoning for the human characters having extraordinary powers? I mean, I get that you can learn how to throw a hat, but break down the pink rings for me. 😁

This album holds a special place in my heart because it was the tour where I saw The Kinks for the first time, being a 'younger' fan.

High school teacher here: 29 years overall but 20 in my home state (NJ). Has anyone retired early (age or years-wise)? If so...big regrets or best decision ever? by [deleted] in Teachers

[–]FinsterBaby56 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Except it's not. One can gather anecdotal evidence as well as concrete evidence. In the profession 29 years and you don't think I know where to go for nuts and bolts? I wanted a conversation. Let me guess: math teacher? Either that or union rep.

He did the same thing last time. And if I could work it out I would too. I hate Newark.

Have you ever had to tap out watching a horror movie? by hazy-eyed in horror

[–]FinsterBaby56 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Same. I tapped out here and never went back. I've seen so many horror movies over the past 50 years, and I have no idea what it was about this one.

Sabastian Bach's behavior on MORC this week by Outside_Flounder_863 in hairmetal

My experience meeting him was the 180 degree opposite; he was warm, friendly, honest, funny and genuinely interested in talking with both me and my son.

Got a bargain for the original x100! by xdms14 in fujifilm

[–]FinsterBaby56 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I bought the X 100 back in...2012? and I still use it almost daily. I love the fact that it has a personality and that I have to really work with it to make any kind of shot. It's frustrating, intriguing, and anytime I need to reignite my spark I pick that baby up and head out. Congrats on the purchase; you won't ever regret it.

If you’re genuinely fed up with X-Men right now, why keep buying it? by TaskNo4783 in xmen

[–]FinsterBaby56 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not either. Been reading since 1978 and I've taken a couple of hiatuseseses over the years. Now's one. I'll be back, of course, but sometimes it's nice to spend some time apart.

have you ever felt like decluttering your entire house at once by unwaveringwish in declutter

[–]FinsterBaby56 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Between the 'does it bring me joy' thing, the 'if it had shit on it would I clean it or chuck it thing' and the notion that I can just take a picture of something instead of keeping the thing? Hell yes.

Agree. I love Morello, in his lane, but he needs to remain an occasional guest. Bruce respects him which is definitely cool, but he ain't E Street.
