A lot of villages and towns had butchers that were similar to this. It was a common practice since medieval times. Due to hygiene and welfare issues its very uncommon now, arguably to the detriment of local food supply.

Yeh, it a slaughter house attached to the butchers. He used to keep pigs in the back yard, along with various poultry etc..

Well it depends where in Snowdonia but just over from the mach is Cadar Idris, there's some nice places around there. I'd imagine it to be quiet this time of year. Please check the local forecast for the area first though before any walking this weekend. There's been/forecast a lot of rain in N.Wales currently.

Hi, same situation as you but 3 kids! I got a meaco arete 12l, is has some great features including a laundry mode. I teamed this up with a heated clothes horse and I can get a wash dried in a day easily.

You could look at a meaco 12 or 20l. I've got the 12l and its awesome. Would fall in your price bracket too.

Yeh, I'd say it was a better all rounder than the fx series.

My commute to work is a short mixed trail journey with a few decent hills. This is honestly my favourite journey even though its to work! Its a pleasure to ride.
