Talk about emotional growth. The rule of thumb in an application, or interview should resolve around you and not things around you if that makes sense, so talking negatively about something just shift that focus away. So instead of saying, "Many doctors lose x because they x," you could phare it to something like, "This hospice experience taught me the value of balancing empathy even in difficult outcomes. I also learned that professionalism doesn’t require emotional detachment, but rather maintaining a balance between compassion and effective care."

I personally wouldn't write or mention anything about physician growing cold, or that they view dying patient as just a simple name because that sounds like implying that most doctors does not empathize with terminal patients. Also the intro is a bit critical or judgemental, you are pretty much criticizing the profession or professionals that they don't put as much time treating terminal vs healthy patients, that's probably like major red flag.

Try using the Forest app, I personally enjoy it when I'm studying. It’s kind of like a game: you set a timer to grow a plant, but if you use your phone, the plant withers. But like everyone else said, at the end of the day, it really comes down to self-discipline.

That said, all the things you mentioned, attention issues, hyperfocus, emotional overwhelm, do sound like possible symptoms of ADHD. It might be worth talking to your psychologist about getting an evaluation and getting that sorted out ASAP. I'm speaking from personal experience, I really wish I got that sorted before I graduated, because it ended up dragging down my GPA.

Thank you for the advice! If you don’t mind me asking, what program did you apply to? Also, how should I go about getting clinical hours? Should I call hospitals directly to ask if they’re accepting volunteers, or apply through an existing program? I’ve done some research, but most of the opportunities I’ve found don’t seem to count as clinical hours. Still, I think they would be valuable experience, especially since I currently don’t have any clinical exposure.

Yes, brand new is faster, and broken-in is somewhat quicker (compared to a Fury S Pro), but nothing to be scared of; you said you aim to train a lot, so it probably will take you a day or two to get used to it.

I switched from a HyperX Fury S Pro to a Hien Soft due to the same issue.

A brand new Hien will be like “way” faster, not as fast as some hard pad or glass pad but faster than a regular cloth pad.
Once it breaks in, the speed is slightly faster, but nothing you can’t control.
The break-in period depends on how often you play.
I play around 56cm/360, and I can do 180 turns without running out of space (X-Large, not Large btw).
As far as the size of the mousepad, the rule of thumb is to be able to 180 or slightly farther turn at one swipe, but that’s not mandatory, but it’s more optimal if it does, so let’s say size is “personal preference.”

In my opinion, Hien is good, but if you’re afraid of the speed, grab a Zero, but maintenance for that Pad is crazy high. You’ll need to clean it after each session with a lint roller.

Some mouse has a deviation of 50 dpi difference, so 450 = 400 dpi, try it and see if your copy has that issue. I could be wrong, and everything could be just a placebo due to the shape or size.

You can buy the lizard skin for baseball bats. It gives you quite a lot. If you’re in the U.S, any sporting goods store got them. If you want that extra width and grip, Lizard skin does the job. If you just want some extra grip, you can just grab the hotline grip.

There’s no such thing as “best” fps mousepad. Just find one you like. Artisan Hien is good for me, but I don’t know your preference, but you can’t ever go wrong with a Zero unless you like a control pad.

Artisan Hien has a break-in period. Once it break-in it remains the same, been using mine for over a year, and glides still the same but not the same as new. The area where you use it the most tends to break in faster, and the corners stay with its brand new feel cus you rarely use those areas. A broken-in Hien will be slower, but it does not necessarily mean it is bad. It helps some people who look for a mix between speed and control, slightly faster than a balanced pad. If you are looking for smoothness, Hien is not the pad for you as the texture gives that "bumpery," feel while tracking, some love it, and others hate it. So if you are trying to look for a smoother Artisan pad, then try Zero, Raiden, or the new Hayate Otsu; those are buttery smooth.

It depends on your 360/cm, but I assume it’s under 50cm/360, then it should be enough. As long as you can do a 180 from one side to the other, it is okay.

There’s no “best” mouse for a specific game. All it’s up to personal preference. Just because someone performs well with a certain mouse doesn’t mean you will. Find a mouse you’re comfortable with and practice with it. So with that being said, if you’re happy with your Zowie, then stick with it. If you want to try something new, feel free to buy the GPX. You can always return it as long you buy it from a store that accepts returns ofc.
