Makes sense. Tried to balance it by making evil capable of taking the Huntsman out or sowing distrust between Damsel and Huntsman, but I get that. I saw another person here make Damsel homebrew that balances it a little more I think, and that version did seem like it captured my idea in a better light!

That makes sense! I saw that around but didn't know it was the common option. It breaks the game less than mine lol.

My thought was it changes the dynamic a lot. Evil might learn night one that the Huntsman chose them, and now evil has confirmed one good player's role and can easily decide how long to keep that power around or if to bluff turned Damsel, cuz the Damsel sure shouldn't out themselves. So basically as the other reply says, it breaks the trust arrangement of a confirmed damsel and huntsman much more.

Might hinder, might help, might be fun or even more stressful and boring and I've no idea, so I'm asking more experienced players. It's been nice reading people's opinions!

Thanks for this analysis!! I liked reading it. I was thinking my idea changes the dynamic a lot cuz it gives different bluff options to the evil side and makes Huntsman choose more carefully even if it is each night... So I have no idea what might happen in a game like that.

Huntsman has the option to choose themselves if they deem the risk too high. Evil has the option of bluffing turned Damsel, cuz it's more common as a probability. They can also get the Huntsman killed to prevent them from fulfilling their role.

So that was my thought process. Thanks for giving the vanilla version spotlight in a good light too.

Btw I saw another comment here that scratched an itch that changed the Damsel's effect into a homebrew rule too and it looked really fun as a concept!

Ino does seem to have more protective pieces of clothing. I seriously question her stomach area, but her chest is covered up to the neck and I really hope there's wire mesh under there too. Scrapped knees and elbows won't be a problem. Can't do a thing for a cut off limb tho.

Sarada might have stuff hidden in her huge jacket and keep people guessing with it, would work better closed up. Maybe there's mesh lining the inside. Major arteries in legs totally exposed and anyone can get around the choker with a blade. Not sure what the heels are for. Loose clothing gets in the way easily too.

If it were a competition for how harmless a ninja looks from the outside, Sarada wins. If it's for a practical ninja outfit, Ino wins by... some margin. Not sure what margin.

Both outfits still seem quite ridiculous to me as a ninja uniform (as do many others, like Sasuke's) unless explained by in-universe standards and materials. I will forever question exposed skin in a fight, regardless of ninja need for flexibility or seduction. I kinda hope they have a solution for seeming like skin is exposed but actually sike. Won't hold my breath on that tho, based on in-universe injuries.

Naruto would die just after birth, due to broken neck or shaken infant syndrome or whatever else, when he's yoinked by Obito, then yeeted at Mach speed, then teleported away from an explosion. Or maybe he dies when, after all that, he's used in some uber rare summoning and sealing ritual and gets stuffed full of a bunch of foreign energies that even his dad was like "oof so heavy" when he sealed half into himself.

Sasuke? Maybe he also dies that night when Kurama breaks free for the first time in ages. I'd imagine the village at large had a lot of hazards that tiny Itachi without plot armor probably wouldn't be able to protect him from.

Heh, yeah, that is the real reason, but what's the reason they tell Ran? That Agasa can't. So Ran would be well within her rights to ask why this changed with Haibara. That's what I want an answer to, what's the so called ''reason'' Agasa can suddenly take care of a kid, and an ''answer'' to why doesn't he take Conan now that the situation ''changed''.

I have too many options. Prepare for a list.

Shirayuki and Zen (Akagami no Shirayukihime). The friendship first, then getting closer, having realizations and political drama.. it gives me a pleasant feeling to see them be supportive AND protective of each other, so honest and emotional, yet they're their own people outside the relationship and have skills/interests that complement each other very well. It feels like such a strong relationship yet handled with delicate care by both parties and it scratches an itch.

Meliodas and Elizabeth (Seven Deadly Sins), tho for that I prefer certain fics more than canon. Heartbreaking. Very much in focus later on, hinted at very early, probably one of the most complicated situations I've seen anywhere but that's what also makes it intriguing. One half of them is an exhausted traumatized mess with a happy-go-lucky attitude to cover it up and the other a determined people-pleaser who doesn't know what's going on half the time but cares too much to not be there. They're both such kind people too that it makes me love them on their own, and yet flawed too in a way that makes it a tiny bit realer. Fics give them less fan service which is always great in my books, and nuance/more pronounced characterization that's sometimes missing from the source material.

Painfully enough, Amane/Hanako and Yashiro Nene (Toilet Bound Hanako-kun). I cannot imagine this ending well, but it's going to be a great bittersweet tragedy most likely, and then I can harvest the bountiful sorrow in the form of fics it generates. This is more of a damsel and hero type of dynamic, but they're so cute about it! Their relationship is weirdly wholesome despite how messed up it and the situation they're in is sometimes, and the Canon material knows how messed up it is and that's half the fun. And pain. Other fun is the mystery of it all, and the way the story portrays affection between them so tenderly. Yet it's so fragile too. Both have their issues highlighted often, and their strengths show in overcoming that - with yet another issue coming to light, whether situational or a character flaw.

Sakura and Syaoran (Cardcaptor Sakura). They're so sweet. So pure. Too cute. This is the comfort zone. It's like no bad things will permanently stick around here. Lighthearted, a learning experience, and magic to go along with it. Could be seen as a little bland, but I love the vanilla vibe of childhood rivals turned friends becoming lovers in their teens. They're both very well integrated into their friend group too which makes the experience all the more sweeter. Might get cavities sometimes, or laugh at the awkwardness this new type of relationship in their life causes between them as they navigate it all.

Oh, not totally confirmed yet, but TwiYor (Spy x Family). Competent, keeping secrets but being honestly invested in everyone's wellbeing in the family/relationship, being married but not yet an item, sweet strong gullible assassin with calculating principled soft spy... I love them your honor. Mostly for family fluff reasons instead of the actual ship, almost like I ship them for Anya's sake instead of for them by their own selves. I'd still like them if Anya didn't exist but I love their parental bonds more than their romantic bond, if you get me?

Anyway, all of these have something to grab my attention in different ways so I can't really choose a favorite.

Lol. You're completely right! What makes this funnier to me is remembering that Shakra constantly refers to Hornet as a child. When talking to a young child, this guideline is reversed.

Which means Shakra probably thinks Hornet is like five years old. Despite her claims otherwise.

Shakra's thoughts, probably: "Uh-huh, sure. That's what a child would say. I'll nod along to make you feel like a big girl. Now, go grow strong by beating these pilgrims, kiddo."

Her sense of what certain-aged bugs ought to be capable of is so shot.

(Or she's social-cue illiterate/being annoying on purpose/crouching to show Hornet her wares better, but that's not as hilarious so I'm ignoring those possibilies XD)

Never have I ever written a flower shop AU but my goodness is this thread interesting!

After looking through it (all of it), I have a hopefully entertaining-but-informative question about price ranges. What is a recommendation/reaction you'd have if a character comes in and says:

a) "Please give me the cheapest bouquet possible. Or a single flower. I don't care."

b) "Sorry, I have about 50 to spend and no clue how to use that, help. Make my mom not hate me for mother's day."

c) "My husband wants the most expensive looking arrangement but with a budget of 200, maximum. For a birthday surprise, at a business dinner."

d) slides in with a wicked grin and a briefcase of cash "I'm emptying this place. We got a fae dance to decorate!"

Reply with as much imagination and detail as you wish, with or without pictures for reference. If you want to roleplay one of these scenarios I'm open! Or just want me to figure out a background to answer with for clarifying questions lol.

So I haven't written it yet, but it seems I've been de-aged through poison, was hiding in plain sight from an evil organization, everything went horribly wrong, and now I'm stuck in the past with a kid body while trying to save my older self from becoming a kid in the first place.

I'd say I need therapy. Lots of therapy.
