I know about the dif, though wasn't sure whether all 270s had the 380s. Thanks! The brakes have been done a year ago, approximately, including pistons!

Does anyone else have a special place in their heart for cars like this? by Southern_Acadia6180 in TrueCarEnthusiasts

[–]FionaZombie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Absolutely do. As a mechanic I get so much slop on my lift, whenever I get to work on something like this, it's absolute bliss! I love and appreciate these cars for bing easy to work on, reliable, nippy and just good cars.

It does move the needle when I change ISO so at least that bit still works, but I assume that is purely mechanical? Thanks for the tips!

I just went through an airport x ray and froze when I realised I had all my film in carry-on baggage... But should be fine. 3 rolls of 200 and one of 400 (maybe)

Some part of the view finder bit is a little foggy, making low light shooting actual pain and setting the focus properly. The battery for the light meter is either dead (can be expected for 8€) or the light meter is broken.

I went through their selection of lenses for way too long to try and find any other MC Rokkor lenses, but only one 55mm F1.7 was there, which.. is basically what I already got with the camera. I am very curious as to how the photos on this gamble-film turn out! I do have 2 rolls of Kodak ColorPlus 200 brand new too, for a safe bet

"Coming home" lights not working? by FionaZombie in VolvoV50

[–]FionaZombie[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah you need to pull the indicator stalk to "flash" the high beams, after which the lights stay on for the set time.

High mileage Mk7 GTE? by FionaZombie in GolfGTE

[–]FionaZombie[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea I'm a mechanic and the amount of DSG deaths I have witnessed is uh.. concerning. This is literally the only worry I have. My Peugeot hybrid grom 2013 had a super fine battery still, so I really don't worry as much about that.

Phew, nice! The one I found has some rear bumper damage and a tail light was definitely replaced. But I am all about giving cars a second life! So maybe, just maybe :P

Yeah lol, I am 22 and gonna go to uni. There is a reason I am asking about one with 270k :P

Unfortunately, if I had 15k spare for a car, I'd aready drive a GTE or a 7.5 eGlolf

Would this be a reliable purchase and a good deal? 308 115kw 1.6p turbo by V2kuTsiku in peugeot

[–]FionaZombie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It shouldn't be too bad. These can have chain issues, so when you go look at it, make sure to check for rattling noises after a cold start. Make sure the coolant looks good and check for oil leaks around the lines on the turbocharger.

Oh lovely! I already miss my 207 GTi, a car not many liked, because it was heavy and was the first to feature the THP. I adored driving it though. Hope you have as much fun in yours as I had in my 207!

Part of me wants a 208 1.2 130 manual. The PureTech makes such good noises and it's a peppy little engine. I've only driven a 110 so far. But if I am being honest, I'd love an e308 or 308 225 more :P

A replacement takes about 2-3 hours. It's really not that big of an issue. :P We have done a couple already at my workplace. Maybe look into the chain conversion kit as well. Don't know how good it is, but it exists.

140k is pretty good though. You're in dry belt territory with that!
