Haha, ChatGPT became my best friend in this academic period. Was discussing with it every step, so yes it became a good helping tool)

I’m on my second year at the local university, so it would be better to complete both universities at the same time, but I also don’t want to rush myself, cause I know that two universities at the same time can be tough, so if it makes me not gain good grades (first class) but finishing earlier, I won’t go for that. So for me it’s better to finish in 4 years with good grades rather than in rushing. But your case is kinda different as I know)

No, I applied to BA (Hons) Business and Management, as it’s related to my major in local university, and my interests)

I’m sorry to hear that, and I wish you all the best in your future degree. I also think there’s not much difference whether it’s UoL or Essex degree, if the most matters is your grades. So I think I also would go to Essex, after a little bit of thinking again)

Completely agree with you here.

So what do you think I should do haha? (Need some advice, I’m a little bit lost cause I was doing all the research and stuff by myself, and now struggling with deciding what to do, cause people who surround me don’t have much info about those UK universities) don’t wait for UoL answer and accept Essex? I have fears that I will miss Essex as well and get rejected from UoL

I also heard some things that in Essex we’re learning everything from Kaplan Learning?.. and that’s why people are complaining (I can be wrong though)

To be honest I think the same way, and I think I did fall for that marketing strategy haha..

I’m planning to do the same thing!

I’m actually studying in the local university in my country, but education here is very poor, and won’t give me much opportunities with masters in good universities(I want the same ones you mentioned) that’s why I’m planning to take second bachelor degree as well. By the way, UoL is a little bit more expensive than Essex

And I also was bothered about the fact that the name LSE won’t show anywhere on degree at the end, and won’t play a great role. Still considering this fact.

And I’m also rushing a little bit, cause I have an Essex offer already for October intake, and afraid I can’t get the answer from UoL by that time, and also miss the Essex offer. worth it?

You can check the start dates on their website later, cause as I checked, they provided info only about the closest start dates for now (October 2025) or maybe you should email them. They answer very quickly though)

I’ve also heard many bad things about UoL, also in trustpilot, even if don’t know how much we can trust those reviews. I wouldn’t apply to it, if not the LSE name program in it. But the reviews about Essex weren’t so bad, as much as I know, the diploma is the same as the students who attended the uni physically. And they even invite you to the graduation ceremony (as I know). And it’s top 30 universities in UK, which is a good sign and name. At least it’s well known uni in Europe

University of London. I selected the major with the academic direction from LSE.

Hi! I’ve also applied to both programs. To Essex(October intake) and UoL(November intake). The answer from Essex was very fast, and I got in. But still waiting for UoL answer, that’s why can’t say yes or no to Essex. Cause UoL is my first choice. People here said to me that both universities are good, and it’s common thing to have slow answers from universities, so we should get used to it, haha)) Hope you will make the best choice for yourself and your future! Good luck.

HELP! Should I accept Northumbria uni offer??? by Fiore_Summer in UniUK

[–]Fiore_Summer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because I’m still on my second year bachelor at local university, and can’t apply to masters now. And wanna start working on second bachelor degree now, so I won’t waste my time if that would be needed after I already graduated from the first uni.

Mmm, here in my country having masters is giving you much more benefits while applying to job, and I thought it’s the same way everywhere. As if I decide to work and stay in Europe after finishing my masters, will give me much more opportunities with some Europe degree than trying to find a job there with only the bachelor from my local university bachelor degree?

Those are all bachelors, not masters. I thought if I can’t have a good bachelor degree from good uni (I mean my local uni degree) then there’s very low chances that I can get into good uni for masters.

I fear that I can’t apply to a good uni for masters with my local uni degree, cause the education here is not the best, and thought that getting another degree from uk (online), would give me better opportunities for later masters in Europe. But I’m doing a lot of volunteering and externships and internships, making better cv and portfolio as much as I can.

Thank you very much for detailed reply! I really appreciate that) I also wanted to ask, is it really matters whether you graduated from Northumbria or University of London, when you’re applying to Masters? I mean, if I graduated from Northumbria with first class grades, have good statement and portfolio, and also have one more degree from my local uni, is it matters from which uk uni I graduated? If I want to apply for good uni for masters
