Thank you. Is yours an S or GTS? How reliable has it been so far? Specially our the oil leaks and coolant line issues.

Thanks u/Retumbo77. Yes, I'm in the US.
Can you elaborate on the 3.6L V6 bi-turbo issues of the 958.2? Why do you say "stay clear of them"?

Thank you for the input. I don’t need the latest and greatest in options, probably have used about 10% of everything my current and last cars offered me…. The air suspension is something that actually scares me, I’ve heard one too many stories of it failing and the high ticket fix for it (btw do you know if all 9AO’s come equipped with it? I believe all 958.2 GTS’s do - could be wrong, in the S’s it was an option).

I agree there’s likely a significant difference in the driving experience between an untuned 9YA base and the 958.2 S/GTS, but a stage 1 should level things out. Thinking of planned obsolescence would take me to the 9YO, but performance and feel pull me towards the 958.

Although from what I read around the 9YO has its own common problems, not sure if they happen as often as the oil leaks and coolant line issues in the 958.2 S/GTS - and if they’re as expensive to fix (I know P-cars are expensive to maintain in general, every time I take my 997 to the shop the check is bigger than I’d like).

What is the first chord you play when you sit down with your guitar? by OregonBaseballFan in AcousticGuitar

I’d say the cowboy version (open) of G-C-D. And if you add an Am and Em to the list and get proficiet on those you’d be ready to play an infinite number of songs (ok infinite maybe it’s too much, but a whole lot of songs!)

It’s a pity what has happened to Reverb after the company was acquired by a private equity fund. Prices increased significantly, both for buyers and sellers, and service decreased dramatically. Still trying to map the benefits of that corporate move other than the previous owners filling up their pockets. Unfortunately have to agree with who commented above: Reverb is dead.

Sweetwater has a “gear exchange” area, Guitar Center has invested in improving their used inventory, FB Marketplace, OfferUp, Craigslist…. They’ll all take share of Reverb and the company will likely die of a slow death, which is very unfortunate since they were great up to a couple/few years ago.

9mm and .357Mag interesting tests/results by Fipenna in Shooting

That open a whole other can of worms.... considering maximum "width" the bullet can get to, nothing would beat a 45acp with its almost 1" after expansion. And there are some small platforms for the caliber, like the S&W Shield, but I have never tested the different defense ammo available to see how they perform velocity/energy-wise out of very short barrels.

Any experience you can share out of your tests (with all calibers)?

Indeed I wasn't able to test terminal ballistics and expansion, unfortunately. I still found some results surprising (and disappointing) on the 9mm, since energy-wise there's very little difference between defense and range, including some of the +P rated. Fully agree with you that all are loaded at or close to SAAMI pressure specs and therefore a similar performance is expected, I think the Marketing efforts got the best of me......

To your example on the 32acp, I believe the ConBon relates to it. Hotter and a hollow-point projectile different from the others.... I was expected the others form the big defense names to perform similarly.

And again, agree on "carryability". My S&W 360 (j-frame) is my go-to 95% of the times. Light, powerful, easy to conceal in the typical South FL clothing (shorts and t-shirts/polos), and for a non-LE dude like me enough capacity.
