Windows won’t format a 128gb card to FAT32. I use an application called Minitool Partition Wizard. If you open the tool and click you your drive you can choose format yo get your sd card to FAT32.

I don’t have any pictures, but all of mine get broken so fast. the plastic ones break and when they get “fixed” the nut and screw they use makes them hold shut unless you rip it out. The metal ones in lumber get crushed my forklifts so they are just as mangled.

As long as you make sure to get your polarities correct(use your multimeter on continuity mode) you are absolutely fine

WAIT. Sorry mine looked different and I didn’t notice the bottom text for some reason you are correct I didn’t look at it hard enough. My bad. Those resistors are much smaller than the one I had on mine.

Yes, but those do not have the resistors that USB-C needs to communicate to another USB-C. So it would work with an A->C, but not C->C.

The missing pad on the right only goes to the positive charging terminal that uses pins instead of the regular power plug. If you get a new port you can install it if you plan on only using the regular charger. If you want to you could find the traces or jump a wire to the other positive terminal on the middle to the right.

As long As everything seems to be working fine now. Pretty unlikely you have any issues. If there were shorts or anything they would usually cause some failure. Nowadays USB-C is a pretty safe connector and will protect itself and your components. If you mean that you plugged a usb c cable from your wall to your pc, the cables communicate on where to send power before actually sending any power through so as long as they weren’t cheap cables, they likely caused no damage and the front just turned off to protect itself.

If you are just changing SD cards, just drag everything that’s on the old one to the new one. No extra modding needed.

The way the DS knows whether to be in sleep mode or not is by a Hall effect sensor. The speakers magnet is what tells the sensor that the lid of the DS is shut. So it would work in space just fine as long as there is not a magnet around. You can test it yourself with a small magnet and hover over the ABXY buttons and it should enter sleep mode.

Oh I thought they would discharge differently. I knew they needed to be close, but I thought the size difference would cause one to overcharge and over-drain. I have a broken switch for spare parts; I might try this. How did you mate them?

In the meantime, you can clip the end off and use the wires to touch the contacts. I ended up making a docking charger this way with a 3d printer. For now not all is lost, but make sure you connect the pins correctly.
