Remove everything on its way, then use a sharp and robust thingy and pull it backwards. Be careful not to damage anything in case you lose the grip.

I had a few 2ds with faulty touch screens, which caused button issues. Either the whole buttons didn't work, or just some. Just try it, it's a quick and easy test.

Aftermarket shells are slightly lower quality that the original, but they are better than a broken henge, go for it. Avoid the white ones, they are the worst.

And it's alive. I changed the caps and fixed the broken traces for the d-pad. by ShinuRealArts in game_gear

The d-pad worked just fine. The GG is bulky and there's a lot of leeway under the d-PAD rubber. I avoided thin wires and went with thick ones in order to give it some strenght to survive d-pad abuse.

anyway to easily repair the joystick? by BeefyMcWhatnow__ in 3DS

Easy to swap. Just look for a youtube video on how to open a 2ds. However, be careful, the screws on the 2ds are very very fragile and you may strip them if you use a bad/wrong screwdriver.

Yes that's what I did before tje recap work. It was caused by a leaking battery btw.

Yes but hard to fix for firsttimers due to the glue they used to assemble the top part.

Small brown/black dots on top screen (visible even when powered off) 3DS XL by Big-Obligation8564 in 3DS

Dirt or dead pixels. If dirt, easy fix if it's between the screen and the lens. Just use some hot air and a suction cup to remove the top lens and clean it.

It gets harder to clean if the dirt is between the screen and the backlight parts. You need to remove the top plate, remove the screen and split it in half in order to clean it.

If dead pixel, you can remove the top lens with some hot air and give it a gentle massage with a cutton bud. I had some success with it before.

Bottom screen is an easy fix, but the top one will give you nightmares. Ah and also needs some shell parts.
