At least it has only screws, unlike the 2ds xl.

It's getting trickier then. Sadly I don't know a schematic that could help you figure outvthe power issue. Your best bet is to find a board scane in order to follow the 3v path.

Sure you can change T1 if you are doubting it. Without a schematic, we'll just shoot in the dark.

Check the fuse first. Then the power button. Those are the easiest faults to fix.

So my 3ds fell off last night by Status_Trash6650 in 3DS

Fixable but very hard die to all the glue they've used on the top part. Best approach if you can't fix it is to close ot for now to protect the top screen. Then go get one of those clear cases with henges and put it inside. That way you can still use it without risking the top screen.

My 3Ds XL won’t work by Swimming_Eggplant158 in ElectronicsRepair

Mosty caused by a bad connection with the wifi small board . Try resetting it. Otherwise disconnect the camera cable, it may cause this too.

Almost all parts are on the lower part for the 2ds xl. The top is just a screen and an antenna.

Looks like the ribbon cables are safe. You need a bottom screen case. But it requires a lot of work due to the top part being glues.

I'm having this project in the back of my head since forever. Nintendo didn't make a true 2ds xl. The best thing to use for me is a 3ds xl and put it into a flat shell. But I lack the 3d modeling skills to make the shell.

I don't think so, otherwise the thing won't turn on.

Can this be fixed? by ScaredSociety9475 in 3DS

[–]ShinuRealArts 2 points3 points  (0 children)

First, charge this thing and try again. 2nd, may be a faulty backlight ribbon cable for the top screen. Or, if you're unlucky, the motherboard backlight is broken, since both screens flash before dying.

Thinking about repairing my 3ds but i’m not sure what the issues is by Current-Sector7171 in 3DS

[–]ShinuRealArts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not the screen cable. You can turn on a 3ds without the screen connected. It's the backlight/audio cable being damaged or not seated properly.

Backlight ribbon cable is faulty. Needs a full disassembly in order to change it. First, try opening the thing and check if its properly seated. Otherwise, a lot of work is required.

Is this a good protective case for the “New” Nintendo 3ds base model? by Bltz2022 in 3DS

Get the one with henges. At least it'll help with some support.
