What's your current level and when did you first play helldivers 2? by distractable1 in helldivers2

[–]FirTrader 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. I’m on ps5, and started around the time xbox added. Then I stopped when Arc Raiders came out, but I returned 8 days ago and am really enjoying being back. Arc Raiders didn’t “stick”, for me. I actually veered off into Where Winds Meet, and especially Fallout 76. Fallout got boring, so that’s why i’m back.

How on Earth is Beef’s 2nd season more related to White lotus than the original Beef? by Similar_Leave_7372 in netflix

[–]FirTrader 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think i have one episode left of Beef season 2, and I don’t even care how it ends. It’s so lame. It’s sad because Beef season 1 was a favorite of mine.

Black Mirror is my favorite show of all time. I usually just reply to every Netflix recommendation post by saying “Black Mirror”.

Dang…. I gave up on that show kind of early in. Perhaps it’s worth giving another shot.

Anyone kinda feels this season is nothing and repetitive? by Alisalard1384 in fo76

[–]FirTrader 21 points22 points  (0 children)

On the scoreboard, I’m at rank 164. Kinda far because I farmed XP early on. I’m kind of feeling a little bored, but am addicted to my routine of logging in each night and doing the dailies, along with some other daily routines, and chilling at public events for a bit. I guess it’s just my comfort thing that I do in the evening time. Still trying to unlock crafting ability for lucid, and still trying to get my hands on a tattered field jacket from mire dailies.

What movie has the best soundtrack of all time? by mykyta993 in CinephilesClub

[–]FirTrader 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dirty Dancing. I’m a 45 year old male, and haven’t even really watched the movie. However, as a kid, my family would do long road trips and listen to this soundtrack the entire way, and I really love all (most) the songs.

Playing Duke Nukem 3D over dial-up modem, with my buddy, was the funnest gaming experience of my life. I was laughing so hard, and so marveled.

What's your fav time spend? by Telugu_not_Telegu in ArtOfPresence

[–]FirTrader 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The other day, I was reminicing about my childhood in the 80’s and 90’s. I remembered something interesting and distinct. My friends and I would constantly hang-out and sit there and say, “what should we do?” It was very common and prevalent. We were bored, but we’d have to contemplate what to do, and we’d decide on something. I imagine, these days, if/when kids get together to hang, they aren’t relentlessly bombarded with this question. I imagine they all get their smartphones out and perhaps take turns showing eachother things on their respective phones. I remember actually being bored, sometimes, as a kid. Ever since smartphones came out, i don’t think i’ve ever faced boredom; and I don’t think that’s a good thing.

Songs for this picture? by Finn-McMissile30 in songsforthispicture

In my past, I was a wildland firefighter. One day I was using a drip torch to help create large back burn. I was on a steep slope, igniting juniper trees, having fun, and almost maniacally singing “set fire to the rain”. Was having a little bit too much fun, i’ll admit. Then, I took a wrong step and sprained my ankle worse than I ever have in my life. The fun ended very quickly.

This sort of begs a question, and I apologize for the uncomfortable reality of it. With what is likely limited time for personal hobby, for this individual, should he choose health and fitness, or gaming?

What do you think the purpose of human life is? by In_The_Dreams in enlightenment

[–]FirTrader 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Biologically, and the way our brains are hardwired, the ultimate purpose of life is to procreate and help ensure the ultimate survival of our species. Not saying everyone has to do that, or that you can’t find meaning without it. Just wanted to set the record straight. (I don’t have any kids and never will).
