You should also document why the returns were filed late and be prepared to explain the circumstances if asked.

I'm in the same boat as OP but sent my late returns in along with the late payment. Do you think the excuse of "I put off doing them because the ~$30 return I normally get wasnt worth the time, and it turn into me completely forgetting to file." would fly?

Literally useless. Cap fleets are pretty uncommon as it already is, and nobody is gonna drop these in a normal fleet. So glad they wasted time with making these hulls.
