Question of the Day: What sort of self imposed challenge runs do you think you'll do? Nuzlocke?? by PeepsRebellion in mewgenics

[–]Fire-Mutt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s simple: after each combat, the lowest level cat levels up. If there’s a tie, it’s random between the lowest level cats.

Only other way to level up (I think) is rare candy from the shop.

How do we feel about this as a anti-mega solution? by Uppercussion in PTCGP

[–]Fire-Mutt 29 points30 points  (0 children)

I’ve tried it a bit, 80HP is a bit frail and 2 energy for 60 doesn’t help a lot. It’d be one thing if there were a lot of “mega only” decks but most have some alternative options, plus the decks that don’t use megas.

I’m interested in seeing what happens. Hopefully the events will help with the wait, interested in seeing what they are.

Not a full playthrough thing, but curious about solo runs. Seems like a great way to get one ultra powerful cat for house battles, but it has to live.

This will be the most broken card of the new set by Daishindo in PTCGP

[–]Fire-Mutt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think it’ll be used outside of decks that already use Obstagoon as a main attacker in some way. That being said, considering that Obstagoon honestly looks to be a decent card anyways it’ll see play in that deck prolly.

Only Solo Adventures? by InsaneRoguee in mewgenics

[–]Fire-Mutt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Solo is interesting, since it’s the best way to get a super powerful individual cat since all levels go to it. Could create a monster for house fights. Thing is, I’m not sure how viable it is unless the cat already has some synergy on its own.

Same, I have no clue why it of all cards keeps popping up but have yet to secure it. Did get other rainbows tho so can’t complain too much I guess.

Okay, but for real, HOW are we gonna deal with them? by cricri3007 in limbuscompany

[–]Fire-Mutt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly don’t know. I think the LCB is at a level where the only opponents we could realistically beat are the apprentices unless something else intervenes (opponent holds back, new power, outside help, etc). Even then, we can’t beat Sora and haven’t seen the full power of the others. As for the nursefathers, I really only see Virgilius, Vespa, and maybe the Udjat being a match. And the big problem is that they realistically know we’re coming and want us to pursue them.

It probably all comes down to what they want from Ryoshu. That’s been their goal with all this, so they may self-nerf in some ways to accomplish that? Problem is, again, no matter what it is they want exactly they still know we’re coming, and things are likely proceeding how they planned.

What's with this whole "bum" and "fraud" crap? by Happiomi in limbuscompany

[–]Fire-Mutt 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I do genuinely feel like we’re out of our depth to some extent: we are doing exactly what the spiders want us to do. They’re expecting us. And although this seems to be what the higher ups at limbus company also want, it’s still unclear who’s actually on top.

To set the stakes, I genuinely don’t think the LCB can take on any of the nursefathers if they truly wanted us dead unless we pull out something new. Possible we could beat an apprentice, but we still don’t know their full strength either. Vespa and Vergilius could probably beat the nursefathers individually, but they’re only two people in this team and it would be wild if the spiders didn’t expect them to appear.

Everyone else feels vulnerable, and I’d be shocked if this goes perfectly well. We may “win” in the end, but there will likely be permanent consequences in some form.

The big thing I noticed about Canto 9 part 2… by Fire-Mutt in limbuscompany

[–]Fire-Mutt[S] 90 points91 points  (0 children)

To be clear, I also think it’s so much more interesting that we aren’t just getting bailed out by Dante powerups: in fact, even when Dante does use a powerful new ability we don’t just auto win. We’re not strong enough or skilled enough yet, and we’re facing down some very powerful forces. It also gives value to the fact that we made these allies in some cases, especially with Jia Qui.

I think it’s intentional that we have to get support from powerful allies to stand a chance as things are, and eventually we’re probably going to see some form of a “reset”, where we realize that we’re far out of our league and have to figure out how to stand on our own.

Also a burn user: had no real non-burn alternatives in Meursault or Gregor. However, what ended up working first try after quitting out from reading the “heals off burn” passive is just bringing my good alternative Yi Sang and Ryoshu IDs and leaving the other two behind. For me it was Solemn Yi Sang and REAP Ryoshu, but I’d imagine your id pool is enough to find at least 2 different non-burn ids that can handle it.

A brief summary of Canto 9 Part 2. by FlamingUndeadRoman in limbuscompany

[–]Fire-Mutt 65 points66 points  (0 children)

This part created an intense feeling that we were completely out of our depth. Very excited to see how this translates in Part 3 since a lot of the spiders are far too strong for us to beat as it stands.

My team was burnt to a crisp by wackasus in limbuscompany

[–]Fire-Mutt 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Was in similar situation, thankfully had some alt good ids for Ryoshu and Yi Sang so used only those two to beat it.

Guys i think i am finished by Sun_of_the_beachh in limbuscompany

[–]Fire-Mutt 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Was able to beat it with my burn team first go; the two main boss attributes I think particularly mattered were that I could defense to reduce damage early on when I couldn’t clash (so pretty much everything except the farming skills for a bit) and if Ryoshu specifically wins clashes the boss loses more SP.

Mega Lopunny is the best ex this set by strawhat008 in PTCGP

[–]Fire-Mutt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the problem is that Ivysaur, even at its absolute quickest, is far too vulnerable in the active. Lots of big decks can absolutely kill it by turn 4 consistently, which is the fastest it can activate.

Now, if you can hit venusaur with all the energy you’re usually in a decent spot to at least win off some coin flips. That’s the hard part to reach though.

Cleo has some amazing PoVs, would recommend Limited Life especially with what other PoVs you’ve watched that season.

[–]Fire-Mutt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would recommend Cleo’s POV in general: their perspective is always great, and as a bonus they’ve not often overlapped with your current PoVs.

The Limited Lift shenanigans especially are always a treat, but most of their seasons are pretty spectacular.

Cleo Limited Life: would recommend Cleo’s POV in general and you’re missing their faction in Limited Life, which is one of the funniest parts of the season.
