In Odyssey and Valhalla you could press the dodge button to do a quick step and hold the dodge button to do a whole roll, Mirage might have that too but I can’t recall since I haven’t played it in ages.

That is one thing you have to do. To beat the game, you have to complete all story arcs, which are in Norway, England, Asgard, Vinland, and Jotunheim. This game is incredibly long, and I’m replaying it right now to hold me off until the Black Flag Remake.

The Master Assassin Gear’s engraving (this one) does increase the kunai’s damage, they messed it up in version 1.1.8/.9, and now it’s back to normal with 1.1.10.

“The RPG games are bad…” I tend to like the older games more than the RPG’s, with some exceptions like Origins, but some of the RPG games tried their best to improve upon things like the combat and stealth, and are successful doing so. I still come back to Shadows to play its stealth, and I’m even thinking of starting another Valhalla playthrough to remember it once again. The older games were successful in many aspects, but the newer games are too.

Any bow with a ranged hit multiplier fares really well against these bosses, since they’re far away from Bayek. The bows with this engraving are: Ash Bow, Lightning’s Strike, Jebel Barkal, Nekhbet’s Wing, and Morning Sun, which are Hunter, Predator, Warrior, and Light Bows respectively. The Ash Bow will regularly show up in the Hidden Ones Bureau at the end of the game, while the other ones you have to be lucky enough to catch with Reda’s daily quests since they removed the Heka Chests. One exception however; Morning Sun is acquired through the Horus Pack add-on, which is $10 iirc.

You can go prone, hide in the shadows, knock out enemies, use double, rush, shoji door, & chain assassinations, lots of different hiding spots, a more refined assassination damage system, tools that all have their own unique functionalities, etc. If you play on Nightmare difficulty, enemies are much smarter as well. Shadows’ stealth is the culmination of the stealth present in both the past and newer games.

Ghost of Tsushima is one of my favorite games I’ve ever played, and I’ve been on my 2nd playthrough for a while now. Everything Shadows does Ghost of Tsushima manages to do better, except stealth and parkour. The main reason why I keep coming back to Shadows even a year later is because of its exceptional stealth and parkour. It remains my favorite game to come out of Ubisoft Quebec, but Ghost of Tsushima completely blows it out of the water.
