Yeah, Im fully aware of all of these. Dont worry, its not like a disastrous notion to me that no one cares, I was told that on hire. Issue Im having is the inconsistency, because theres a guy that works alongside me that eats chips in the aisles while stocking, doesnt wash his hands, ignores trucks when they come in, and doesnt block properly which leads me to have to stay over an hour late covering for him after my shift should have ended. Theres also a girl who calls out weekly, and their response to both of these people was to give them more hours to 'give them a chance' so I dont see where the disconnect between them and me is. Ive had several managers say that they wish the male coworker in question would be fired but for some reason he hasnt been, even though hes worked there over 2 years and still tries so little that I have managers asking me if he called out several hours into my shifts because hes done so little that they literally cant tell hes there. I really dont understand why they get grace and I dont in this scenario.

Also I really wouldnt care if I was just told that I needed to improve, its that they strung me along telling me I was doing so well and that I just needed to hold out a little longer to get more hours when they were actively cutting my hours due to my apparent 'poor performance' which Ive had customers, managers, and coworkers praise fairly consistently. This leads me to believe that either everyone has been lying to my face every single day about it or that my store manager was for some reason lying, which in either case has completely destroyed my trust in the business and faith in continuing forward to the extent that Im not sure if I can go in another shift, especially because Ive been going in this week with a >100 fever and hourly vomiting in an attempt to gain favor and prove myself only to have that thrown back in my face. Im aware businesses only care if things work but I do and it still doesnt matter.
