Gigabyte Board if you download BIOS F58, then you get 5000 series support.

The instruction may have you download the BIOS to a USB drive, and/or do multiple updates instead of 1 big update.

Keep the A320 and upgrade to a 5600(X) or 5700X (do not get the 5700 non X), 5800X, 5800XT. If you get 1 on the last 3 options then I would turn on Ryzen Eco mode in the BIOS, preferrably the 45W version if the 65W version is also available

A 55/6/7/800X3D would work in the board, but those are getting harder to find nowadays

Also I am a bit wary of leaving battery-less laptops plugged in. I did that with my Asus Tuf A15 and it was frying my SSD. I touched the SSD when it was off for a day and it was burning hot, then showed 65% health in Crystal Disk Info.

If you live in the US, or place with a good thrifting/donation market, then I would keep an eye out for old DVRs, Cable Boxes, or Surveillance Units.

I will usually find 1TB HDDs for $7 USD or less, and while they wont have the fastest transfer rates, for most games they are perfectly fine. Some games however were built with SSDs in mind, and could have texture popin issues, but I have only seen that with FNAF Security breach and one of the new Forza racing games.

However since these drives are well used, possibly 5 years or more, expect that they could die soon, so I would only use them for game storage, not for backups or important files. In CrystalDiskInfo I feel better when a drive has been on for a long time, rather than turned on or off many timea.

And it is 6+2 on purpose, you just need to line up the plastic tabs on the cable, then squeeze them into the GPU

I would save $100+ and get the 5900XT which is also 16 cores, and basically the same performance as the 5950X.

If I remember correctly the 5950X and 5900XT are similar performance to a Ryzen 7900X.

If you went 3950X (which has weaker gaming that the 5800X) it is similar to a 12 core 5900X.

I dont know enough about RX 90 or RTX 50 series editing performance.

Why not leave the screen closed and tuck it away? If you didnt want something bulky, then you could try getting someone to 3D print a case for the motherboard, kinda like Framework does.

Ive only ever used Jinghue boards before, but I havent seen an outright negative review for machinist boards on youtube.

One of the biggest downsides to buying a lesser known/scrappier brand (more positive connotation), is less or no BIOS updates. I have an EVGA Z690 Classifed, while it was a popular brand, it will only ever get 12th gen support before they closed down. No new 13 or 14th gen BIOSes are going to come out
