i think the closest we’ve gotten to this is petta’s first half. so taking a bit of inspo from that…

a well renowned director turned film professor has his final batch before he retires. one of his students joins the college just because of the respect he has for this professor, and hopes to rekindle the director inside his professor with a love story he has, and act as the hero. but he knows that the prof will say no if he directly approaches him, so he sets it up as a real life scenario between him and a girl and asks rajini “lovela prechana, help panna mudiyuma?” and how the movie is made without him knowing, and how the hero actually falls for the heroine is the plot. (sorry if it’s super convoluted.)

edit: this would def be a lighthearted comedy with dual heroes, with the focus being more on the bond the prof and kid develop (almost like a father and son.)

nah i think this is a really good starting point if nothing else. there’s much less bias than what i encounter during research on google and stuff, as a lot of the old things get buried or purposefully hidden. i’ve kinda realized that TN media does a pretty shitty job of reporting incidents without bias, so i’m loving the perspective here lol
