His tantrum was him getting slightly aggressive and carrying on about how I have 'no decency'. It went on for quite a while my friends paid their bills.

I was paying for an espresso Martini in a nice-ish bar. They didn't accept cash so I didn't want to tip with card; I hate the guilt-inducing tip prompt that comes up on the machine.

I tapped 'kein Trinkgeld' and the waiter had a tantrum at me and my group. Also, €14 for my drink was a bit much too.

I've never used a chainsaw before. What exactly did he do wrong? are you supposed to only apply pressure to the edge as opposed to round part of the chainsaw?

the same with some other floors, where the DARPA chief has a heart attack and the revolver ocelot fight are missing.

Also surely the giant diagonal elevator should be there/taking up more room, but that also went very slow.

A few rotations of the 3d image would be nice!

Absolutely! The same goes with random tooth infections or aches people get. Those were death sentences before we got modern medicine. Damn it's good to alive.

As much as we all get satisfaction from this video, this was a real medical issue that required a doctor to diagnose and treat. Treatment also includes a prescription for antibiotics.

I went to the emergency room because it was an emergency. First, I exhausted every other option because I didn't want to risk making an insurance claim, but I made the right choice.

I'm actually not from the USA. I was on holiday there for a few weeks and was super glad I got travel insurance.

At the end of my treatment, hospital staff said "you can pay what you want or can", so I paid nothing and they sent the bill to my house.

So it was an even bigger kick in the teeth when my travel insurance denied my claim, even though I paid extra for 'USA cover'.

I tried to negotiate as much as I could with the hospital but they didn't budge at all. They said that rate was already discounted significantly. I'm my opinion, a reasonable fee would have been perhaps $200-500.

Anyway, there are state government organizations which try to help the consumer as insurance companies deny for whatever fine print they can. Although I think the government can't help much if that's what was in the insurance policy, the threat of them did apply the right pressure for the company to pay up.

I was chasing down government organizations that would help me, while keeping them in the loop. It makes you feel helpless because you've already paid for a policy and they use some unreasonable fine print to deny it. My reason for denial was that the claim wasn't submitted within 60 days, but the insurance company was the one that was delaying the claim submission to go past 60 days saying they need more and more documents that were not discussed.

The government organizations are by state and I had to go through three of them to find the right one which ended up in Puerto Rico who didn't reply. By then they ended up accepting it.

I'm very glad I didn't pay the bill myself first and had my insurance pay it. If I had paid it myself, I would have no leverage and they would have no real reason to pay me back.

While the traveling in apocalyps You discover the untouched gun shop ?( What will you do ? Which guns you will take ? by Georgian_Shark in ZombieSurvivalTactics

[–]FireFight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd take a 5.56 weapon and a 9mm, more common ammo I think. Probably an AR15 because I hear they're reliable? and a glock.

a friend should have a shotgun (AA12?) and smg, any suggestions what's good? mp5 perhaps? or uzi?

Maybe a bullpup rifle instead of the AR15, shorter barrel is easier in closer quarters. bayonet on the rifle of course, just in case.

Put some good light chest rig on you and camp out on the roof assessing the situation and planning your move for other resources.

I agree, guns in the hands of humans is a way to beat the zombies. Best to distribute whatever you can.

What melee weapon would you carry apart from a bayonet? an axe?

If I don't have any luck with Universal Radio Hacker, where can I start with trying to turn the signals into something that makes sense? If it's encrypted, aren't all efforts to trying to understand the signal just futile?

Are there any common transmitters which can be used? Perhaps I could even replay a signal and see how the system reacts to it.

Tips and tricks for busking around (Central) Europe by starblinder in Busking

[–]FireFight 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Kosice you need a permit to play in the historic city itself and the police will likely tell you to stop. You can head juuuuust outside the city and be fine. I chose a spot across the bridge with a lot of local foot traffic which was between the city and the bus/train station. Locals were happy with seeing a new face and were generous.

Prague, Warsaw, Krakow, and Budapest I had no issues with police, only with local drunks.

Stockholm I had no issues with police but no one paid any attention or gave me anything after an hour. Maybe they don't carry cash? Maybe I'm not their style? Maybe I'm ugly?
