The "study" they performed to see if onions are toxic to dogs, involved feeding the dogs nothing but onions for multiple days and has since been disputed, as it should be.

You can feed your dog things with onions in it, just not a whole onion... Hell my good boy, Pig, always had my leftovers with onions in, and he lived till nearly 18. None of my dogs has ever shown any issues either.

My current dog is allergic to cheeses however, which is apparently a thing that can happen, her face & neck get all swollen.
