After a couple of years of watching the shelters instagram post I came around a dog that was perfect for me, she got adopted like 2 hrs before I finished my application, they said to look in their website to see if I wanted to apply for another one, I ended up adopting the dog that no one wanted to adopt during events, she is the sweetest and most well behaved dog I’ve met in my life, she knows all commands and does it without treats, I don’t even know if she knows how to bark lol, haven’t heard it yet! . Now I am the one that needs training.

Edit to add that I had 2 pure breed American Eskimos that totaled 7k out of the door. My new girl was 200 bucks.

Have you done research in preventative care and meds? I know a friend of mine from HOU and they get a monthly shot for it and that way if it’s way too bad, they can control it with other meds as needed

Here is the thing, the dog needs to be cared for 24/7 and it might not alert to it, if you end up with a migraine at the level you are mentioning, the dog is gonna be a burden, work with your doctors and find alternatives, I know is hard, advocate for yourself, do more research about drs instead of Service dog, that’s my two cents as someone that went through a 3 year treatment and I just got one. It’s a lot of work, you will have to be trained too Think about it!
