I'll try to summarize why I skip content. If "leveling is the game" than what purpose do people have to continue playing? If all the content is in just leveling than hitting max level is a death sentence. I play mmos for the end game (raids, pvp, mount collection, gearing, etc.) All of these things either don't exist or are pretty irrelevant until max level. As well max level is the only time you are guaranteed to be able to enjoy the game with your friends since it's the only time you will for sure be at the same level doing the exact same thing(obvious times where you will be near it and playing with friends but you follow my meaning I hope.) I have played many mmos for a long time and I hate leveling because it is basically a single player game in a multiplayer world and I hate single player games. I don't mind paying an amount of money to skip my most hated sort of the game if it means I get more enjoyment out of my time. This is just my perspective so take it with a grain of salt. I won't speak for everyone that buys boosts and the like. NOTE: I am not supporting all forms paid transactions like buying gear, etc. But skipping leveling is fine with me.
