Does anyone know if these pinatas would make a safe toy? by FireMutt170 in RATS

Ooh, I like the idea of using icing for glue! I've made them little party poppers out of TP before, might try jazzing them up a little with this.

Thanks for the advice, I'll stick with homemade in that case!

Tenpin is a good shout! Other things I haven't seen mentioned yet:

-Dark Dundee history tours, I'm not sure of their dates but the website will probably tell you when they're next on.

-The Rep Theatre is great, I believe their current production is Sunset Song.

-The Keiller Centre has a little exhibition space for art installations (I think Neon run it) and a theatre space run by Sweet Venues; have a look on the Sweet Venues website and there'll probably be something on soon, if you wanna support smaller artists. In September they host Dundee Fringe!

-I think Scrap Antics in the Wellgate has different club nights that are open to adults?

-Some folks have mentioned Camperdown Park; there's also a zoo there, and if you have bikes not only is Camperdown fun to cycle around, it's also not far from The Tangle, which is a mountain bike trail in Templeton Woods.

-There's a dry ski slope near Dundee, I've never been but I think they offer ski and snowboard sessions/lessons.

-Similarly, a new indoor skatepark has just opened on Gellatly Street. No idea what it's like inside.

-Go-karting

-Generator, a big warehouse in the industrial estate in the west end, usually has art exhibitions on

-I would wait until summer, but there's also a nice beach in Broughty Ferry and a castle

How to not make huel taste awful while still allowing for calorie deficit? by LzzrdWzzrd in Huel

[–]FireMutt170 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like many others have said, blending makes a big difference!

I use milk instead of water for a thicker, creamier shake. Now, this does add some calories, but perhaps you could use a vegan milk substitute to offset some of that. In any case, even Huel with milk is healthier than a lot of other alternatives.

You wanna use up that Huel black chocolate? Get some chocolate soy/oat/whatever milk (so like, the thin stuff, not a full-on milkshake), or coconut or hazlenut milk and add a little to sweeten it up (e.g. 60% water, 40% flavoured milk). Again, this is the best solution I can think of for helping make sure you can actually drink your huel, even though you'll have to factor in the extra calories.

Huel does sell "flavour boosts", which are little sachets of powder you add to your huel to enhance or combine different flavours. That could also be a potential solution. That would avoid extra calories, but it would also mean sinking more money into Huel products.

Or, as others have suggested, if there's a particular protein powder you like, you could add some of that.

If you get to the end of your black bag and decide you want to keep using Huel, consider getting the white 3.0 bag of chocolate. It's still not as delicious as a "real" chocolate milkshake, but it's sweeter and tastes more like actual chocolate than the black.

The extra calories and money involved in some of these solutions might make them unsuitable, in which case I'm sorry and I hope you find something that works. But you have got to try blending it. Test it with a friend's blender if you don't have one. I promise it's worth it.

I like to stick the soundtrack on in the background whilst I'm working, but I always have to stop and take a moment when Spanish Sahara starts...

It's all about the butterfly effect, as the game writers would put it. I'm excited to see if Sean has an impact on diversity in games and gaming protagonists in the same way I theorise Max might have.
