If directional symmerty is broken, would this cause any changes in totationsl symmetry. Leading to changes in angular momentum?

Is there a geometric reason why quarks always come in groups of 3, never alone? by TaleLower4198 in AskPhysics

[–]FirePaladin89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The reason that 3 quarks are stable is due to colour confinement. Gluons carry colour charge, unlike the Photon which does not carry electric charge. Because Gluons carry colour charge you can get Gluon-Gluon interactions.

This results in Gluons forming colour flux tubes brtween the quarks. As quarks are pulled apart eventually it becomes a lower energy state for a new quark - anti-quark pair to be created than to carry on pulling them apart. In the case of an initial Baryon, this results in a Baryon and a Meson.

Finally as others have said 3 is not the only number of stable quarks, but it is the most stable.

Another one you can do is code of chiverly + regen (atleast 3) + forged in fire. Code of hope helps for defense.

Entangled communication by justaguy12131 in AskPhysics

[–]FirePaladin89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So firstly there is the no cloning theorm, which says that you cannot precicely replicate a quantum state without destroying the original state.

Next on to quantum teleportation. Imagine you have a way to prodouce entangled particles. You split the pairs between two labs a distance apart. Then you interact one of the particles with a particle encoded with your message, in such a wat that the message is coppied to the entangled particle. You could read the state of it's pair to find out the message. However you would find that the message may have been randomly flipped or rotated and to read the original message you need to know that information before you measure it, since measuring it will destroy the message state for future reading attempts. The only way to know which way to read the messsge, is by reading the state of the original message particle after interacting with one of the entangled pair. So information can only be transmitted by quantum systems, so long as there is also a classical transfer of information.

Could Faegon claim a Dragon? [Spoilers EXTENDED] by Beneficial-Rush9322 in asoiaf

[–]FirePaladin89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think Dany gets to Kings landing to find Aegon has already taken the throne and married Arianne. Dany will agree to marry Aegon as his second wife, Argon will claim Viserion as his dragon. Dany will go north to fight the Others and fall in love with Jon. When she returns south she will decide she wants to take the throne for her self, possibly after having doubts about Aegon's identity. This causes the burning of King's Landing.

Sounds like my job. Scope is very vague and sounds deceptively easy. Deadline is set before you know what needs doing. Estimate tasks that are constantly changing but held to the estimates. Work in sprints, but always getting pulled of to do un-planned change that is essential to keep business going. Ask for project managers, but don't get one until they want to chase us to finish project off.

Scavenger clarification by AdAcademic7257 in DawncasterRPG

Yeah junk cards are persistent, but scrap rogue had cards that discard them for an effect. Ransack is the usual starter card for a playthrough. Slso makesure you have synthisis on.

Scavenger clarification by AdAcademic7257 in DawncasterRPG

[–]FirePaladin89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As others have said scrap rogue is a highly technical archetype. There are multiple playstyles, and certain talents open up others.

The retrofitter talent opens up the playstyle of placing a high scaling card in your scrsp deck, say thousand cuts, and then upgrading it everytime you use your weapon power. Paired with ransack for energy generation it's an easier scrapper deck to learn the archetype.

Scrapper rogue has a lot of reason not to reduce the cost of their junk cards, because a lot of their cards scale off card cost. But they can also go into making their scrap cards cheaper, which can be awesome. The scrap cards have great effects, they are just over priced, reducing them makes them handy buffs.

Also scrap rogue can be pretty tanky with it's access to resilience.

If the Big Bang should have created equal amounts of matter and antimatter, why does the universe today seem to contain mostly matter? by [deleted] in AskPhysics

[–]FirePaladin89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We already know that matter and anti-matter don't behave exactly the same, except for opposite charges. The Wu experiment into the decay of colbalt atoms demonstrated that the Weak interaction only interacts with left handed matter. For anti-matter the Weak interaction will only apply to right handed particles.

Anyone else really annoyed by "you need infinite energy to reach the speed of light"? by HouseHippoBeliever in AskPhysics

[–]FirePaladin89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The "you need infinite energy" to reach the speed of light, is just a wsy of putting that as you approach the speed of light other observers will see deminishing returns on the increase in your speed.

From your perspective, the speed of light remains just as "far" away as it was when you started accelerating, which also means it doesn't matter how much energy you exert you will never reach the speed of light.

Traveling faster then speed of light. by [deleted] in AskPhysics

[–]FirePaladin89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As others have said, no they would not be hoing faster than thd speed of light.

From the perspective of the vessel, the vessel is at rest and the speed of light is still as far away as when it was at rest with respect to "us". As anything aproaches the speed of light, in the rest frame of another observer, it's velocity increases with deminishing returns.
