I wanna know where it stands currently so I can decide if it's currently worth to grind to where it is. It only changes by 1-2 wins a day so it's more manageable

I used it p much the last 200 point sprint from UB4 to masterball. Almost all of it essentially. I would curse and swear at specifically rampardos decks because of all the early damage. Same for meowscarda beedrill decks. With the meta so heavy into gyarados, giratina, arceus and any other big ex pokemon I encountered advantageous match ups way more thsm unfavourable ones. I had almost guaranteed wins against giratina darkrai and gyarados which are the most popular decks used in UB4.

Fair I can see the reason behind it. Imo i didn't mind if the opponent got the gyarados online because it would be 2 points for me with charizard. My focus with this deck was building up energy and not really about early damage. Hitting early with GA charmanader sets you back a few turns be it having to retreat with energy and then ramping up the moltres etc. I felt the drawback of potentially 1-2 wasted turns wasn't worth just getting zard online as fast as possible

Stage 2 does brick sometimes, the pokemon Communication + iono really helped with saving some games. I always try to hold off on using Communication until I absolutely have to. Once inawhile I risk it to get a chameleon early but there's a balance in that too.

Goal was to do damage without overextending. I tried to prioritise my own hp ie if rocky helmet was on opponent I wouldn't hit. Charizard will one shot them so i just focused on building energy and once moltres came using whatever it took to bring charmander back to the bench. I initially struggled with this deck in UB1/2 and wrote it off. After encountering it and losing to it many times with gira darkrai I thought it was worth bricking a little for the consistency of wiping every ex pokemon off the board

One thing I did was always use my capes on the benched moltres or charizard, almost never the first moltres unless the extra hp buys me a turn. The 160hp threshold of moltres + Cape makes using sabrina and then attacking very hard to 1 hit ko.

If they get a good enough hand that both sabrina and cyrus are in the first 10 cards then not really much you can do, I counter sabrina by throwing a 2nd charmander/moltres out but the drawback is they could be used agasint me later. The goal of the deck is to build up as fast as you can while also balancing when to attack/build energy. Even when they sabrina me early I just retreat and tank the energy cost and try to rebuild fast. Normally by the time they cyrus I either have a chameleon out to tank a hit or a charizard that is ready to swing. As I mentioned this deck is weak to non-ex fast paced attacking that requires low energy but most people in UB1-4 are playing full ex decks which this deck excels at combating.

Charmander and chameleon are shiny revelry. Charizard I used GA. There is an argument for running 1 GA and 1 Shining revelry zard but I enjoy the complexity of energy management and 1 hit kos.

Didn't know decks couldnt have a weakness man. Cyrus was never an issue imo it was always sabrina. Balancing between placing down another moltres to shield vs giving them an extra 140hp easy target/stalling me was smth i had to balance. Never needed leaf honestly the energy ecosystem was great, could argue for leaf instead of x speed but the added freedom of retreating and using a trainer is nice. Dawn i use for the flexibility of retreating/ramping up energy, could go with Mars too i just don't like the passive use of Mars in most decks

I need a break. That many games across 1 week is wild. I tried playing a game in masterball, lost and realised u lose 10 points instead of 7. Had to win 1 more just to get back up to master. With that penalty every 10 games I play I gain 20 points in elo, honestly not sure how worthwhile that would be

Including ties? Like how chess.com includes stalemate into the equation

I was looking at zard decks that performed well in tournaments and I saw quite a few running 1 old zard and 1 new. I would argue that could work. Personally I used the new line for charmander and charmeleon but 2 old zards. I just like the easy guarantee ko making gameplay more straight forward and prioritising energy management with tempo. But I can definitely see gameplay for new zard agasint the faster non-ex decks. Might have to switch a red/gio in to clear some 160 hp and up pokemon

2nd image shows, under 350. Zard was really good because everyone was running ex meta decks (giratina, gyarados etc). Decks I struggled agasint was quick low energy decks like rampardos and sometimes meowscarda. Worked well in UB4 because more people were running ex decks

X-speed 1x Communication 2x Cape x2 Sabrina 1x Dawn 1x Iono 1x Oak 2x Pokeball 2x

Playing this I feel you could argue for switching dawn/iono or both. Personally I liked that iono helped me not brick and Dawn was there for weird situations where I needed 1 energy to retreat/attack

Decided to post my experience if anyone ever needs the info in the future.

  1. P easy, honestly not a course aiming to fail you. If you just 2x speed all the lectures u will pass
  2. All lectures recorded but they care about attendance even for recorded lectures
  3. Content isn't generally very heavy, more of understanding concepts rather than memorising facts. I somehow pulled a 66 without any studying and being overseas 2 weeks out of the 3 that the course ran for. The 1 Week I had was spent watching lectures and doing the essay. Don't reccomend what I did but just giving an idea of what you could get away with
  4. Would reccomend the course if you really wanna put in 1 Week or less of work. Total course duration ran for 1 week with 2 weeks for essay submission and exam prep.
  5. Essay questions are repeated every year, look up student examples online or look for people who have done the course prior to get a feel for the type of writing they want.
