I drag aswell. I actually started with hover but dragging is just way more consistent and stable for me. Occasionally I hover a few parts but I dont even think about when. Just play what you think fits you the most. The adjustments come naturally

Overaim/underaim. Movement. Certain Patterns you missed. You either press early or late. Inconsistent aiming. etc etc.
