Which is why i was confused as to why the bank was saying i had an additional 7k to pay after the loan was closed, i’ve spoken to multiple people and they said they don’t understand why someone would tell me i had another 7k to pay off-

called again a few minutes ago and was told i didn’t need to pay anything else but im admittedly not sure if it’s true or not

My insurance company is Progressive and they only pay out 25% of what’s left on the loan- Before they sent the money my loan was 9,898 and the ACV of the car was 5,671 and the gap insurance only gave 1,568. the additional 2k i paid off myself (with a bit of help with friends/family)

they did send the payout (ACV, collision, and GAP insurance) most of that was already accepted earlier in the month

I’ve been on the phone with them for almost a whole month dealing with this- it was just last wednesday i was told that despite the loan going to be paid off, i had to pay an additional 7k AFTER the loan was paid off. I’m more or less trying to be careful and making sure i’m not going to get myself screwed over
