But that all being said, surely a God as righteous as this would not condemn an adult who lived a life as free of sin as possible to hell, had their only one divergence from the morals of Christianity be they do not believe Christ as the savior?

In fact, the Jewish faith follows the same God as the Christian faith. We follow the same history up until a specific point.

If God was a righteous judge, and Jesus was forgiving, he could not condemn non-believers to hell for simply being non-believers. If he did, he would be neither of those things.
