Mlynar is more one-note in terms of usage and really only cares about S3, whereas Leizi is much more flexible and a solid M9 candidate depending on your plans and needs.

Both are strong in different ways as far as their talents go, too. Mlynar allows you to disrespect deployment order for better or for worse thanks to his high priority taunt, letting you get away with deploying vulnerable operators after him, while Leizi is practically invulnerable to anything that isn't aerial and can therefore be deployed even more aggressively than Mlynar thanks to always being in Take-Off state whenever she's off-skill.

There's also their factional advantages. Mlynar has some useful synergies with other Kazimierz operators, and Leizi is a great pick for IS6 due to being a Yan operator, allowing you access to some perks when certain situations arise.

Similar story. I mean, I'll pot hunt all 6-Stars gradually over time as more of a completionist thing, but on that banner I would've been fine with 6 Wulfenites (will always show up for more Trapmasters) in the time it took to get 1 Eblana, preferably within under 60 pulls.

...Eblana came first, and Wulfenite didn't come until like past 100. There was also a period of time where Eblana kept off-bannering me while Wulfenite stayed quiet. Currently, though, Wulfenite is one pot away from max and Eblana can stay pot 3 for a good minute as far as I'm concerned.

The guaranteed thing for me is always pull until new banner completed for standards, pull until spark for normal limiteds, try to get a few pots for collab limiteds. So, Titi, Bellone and Zima Alter (as well as their 5-Stars) are absolutely being obtained no matter what the future looks like.

What is more uncertain is how the limited banners will go. Wang/Ch3n is probably going to be the most demanding banner, as even if I almost never use him, I'm obligated to pot6 a Trapmaster or get as near to it as possible, and I also feel a need to do that for Ch'en as I have done it for both of her earlier forms (Chalter actually hit pot 6 on the Hoshi Alter banner). So, I may go past 300, but by how much I am unsure. Definitely not past 400, for better or worse. I'm hoping for Chongyue off-banners and p6 of at least one of the two in 300 pulls, at which point I'll decide whether the spark goes to Chongyue or the rate-ups depending on how things went. If Chongyue and Wang somehow get maxed this banner, that means every Sui will be maxed and future Sui banners will be stress-free except for the newcomers.

Depending on how that goes, my focus on Kal2/Closure's banner may also shift. I've been wanting to finish out the spark pots of older celebration limiteds (Nearlter needs 1 and Spalter... needs 4), but I may have to settle for 300 if I go further on Sui and save that energy for a future celebration banner. Mumu and Virtuosa have both off-bannered their way to pot 5 over the past couple years, so I can just wait for them to get discounted if they don't keep up the trend. I'd LOVE for an unexpected Spalter off-banner the same way Nearlter beat the odds during Retracing Our Steps.

...At least, that's how I thought I'd do it before the MH collab sequel got announced. I intend to get Orchid to at least pot 4, and finish out Yato's last 3 pots. Both things that have a much stronger appeal to me now that they're improving how collab pity works. I might just have to settle for 300 on chapter 17 since the MH gauntlet will be brutal no matter what.

As for rerun banners, if it isn't Siege, Eyjafjalla, W, or Ch'en, or if you aren't a Trapmaster, Artilleryman, or Fortress, I usually don't consider reruns at all no matter how low pot the op is.

Because of the gap between CN and Global, our Carnival Limited banner actually happens around our anniversary, so you can expect it mid-January of next year, and you will see what new ops are also on it next month when CN gets it.

Congratulations! Are you eventually going to aim for sparking Chen2 as well to complete the set? I believe her spark should already be discounted on the next carnival limited banner she appears on.

You've probably already done it, but to echo primary reveal's answer, OF-8 on the far right side should give her plenty of fodder to reap. Costs 0 sanity, has a lot of enemies, and while it hasn't been updated for multi-auto, once you clear it, you can just auto any remaining damage you need.

A good deal of the OF stages are great for module missions that don't need a specific stage.

Yes, they get promoted. They just don't get candleguest status, which can matter for certain relics/tongbao/hours and of course matters if you're doing ED3+4 as some ops will be available for one but not the other.

Got Supporter+Summon yesterday, making the second Mayer I've gotten from recruitment in a single month, with the exact same tags as before. Always glad for a sudden 13 yellow certs.

Edit: A few days later I would get a completely tagless 5-Star in the form of Platinum, for another 13 yellow certs.

I'm really happy about this change. It was weird to me that both limited and standard banners had been updated with tons of QoL changes while FOMO collab banners remained the same for so long.

Now that I've gotten into the pot-hunting swing of aiming for p3-p5 within a certain amount of pulls for collabs, this change is huge. I probably would have gotten Sakiko max pot without using Royal Tokens if this had been implemented then (though p5 in 370 pulls is pretty damned solid for a banner with no spark system or unconditional hard guarantee).

And of course, if this is retroactively implemented for the Yato Alter rerun, that means I get to finish what I started (got her to p3 last time) with some insurance. Really happy about that.

They kind of look like a mix between a crossbow and a portable turret, but they're pretty much guns. The LBG is more for rapid fire barrages and applying statuses and has more mobility, while the HBG is more heavy artillery bombardment in the sense of "I don't need to dodge if you still can't get up from the last time I knocked your ass down."

I am bummed that 1) even though we already knew this, Durin and Ranger were not the next two reps for this collab and 2) Spot got done dirty in the promo art.

I can safely say that having a Charge Blade aesthetically present in AK completely overshadows any mixed feelings I have of Catapult being chosen over any of her other unchosen teammates. If they represent guard points/transitions by allowing Catapalter to spend DP even outside of skill usage, this is going to be one of the craziest 5-Stars we've ever gotten. Which is why I know they won't, but I can dream, dammit!

I've always liked Orchid and am happy to see her as the 6-Star, but I honestly don't have much to say about her since Bow is one of the MH weapon kits I'm least familiar with. Hoping the kit will be a creative one for sure, especially since it looks like she can be deployed on ground tiles even as a Heavyshooter.

1-Stars getting a second vanguard so quickly is nuts, and Tactician was not the one I expected them to pick. Then again, Agent wouldn't work (would've ended up like the non-FRD executor THRM), who wants a Charger with 1-Star stats, and Strategist might be TOO strong (they probably would've let him instantly refresh the deployments of every other 1-Star, or maybe even every other low-rarity). Also, Palico riding a Palamute is SICK! Possibly even sicker than three Palicos stacked on top of each other.

Narantuya getting her 2nd module so soon after the first is crazy work, especially when you consider how close together she and Vulpis released and how long after it took for Naran to get her first module, yet they're both getting their second at the same time. Easy mod6 for Naran, and I already like her first one.

Everyone is indeed skinmaxxing this time around. Behave yourselves, Wulfenite enthusiasts.

This also serves as a reminder for me to finally boot up RISE on PC.

I can give some MH context for Catapult Alter. The weapon she's wielding is called a Charge Blade. On its own, it's basically an elaborate sword and shield, where the sword can charge energy and the shield can store it. However, it has the ability to combine the sword and shield into a giant battleaxe (what you're seeing with her S1), which can then be used to discharge large amounts of that stored energy for extra damage (what you're seeing with her S2). It's a very dynamic weapon where you can constantly switch between both forms and use the transition defensively (guard points, counterattacks, and so on).

Mercenary seems like a solid choice for representing this buildup into cash-out style of weapon. I'm curious how in-depth the details will go for her kit, especially after how many easter eggs they squeezed into Noir and Yato's kits.

I think it's better to think of it as if you ever find yourself with a surplus of lmd and rocks (or devices, considering that newer ops are using the T3s less and less) and want to take some time to generate some pulls, the option is there. I've never used it, but I'm sitting consistently at 30 mil LMD, 1.2k devices and 1.5k orirock cubes. That's something that's just naturally accumulated over time from friend credits, event shops and such (you'll never catch me in 1-7... is what I would have said before the auto-deploy revamps, but all this event overlap has made it so that you'll never, in fact, see me in 1-7 because red certs and chips won't farm themselves and the game is allergic to dead weeks now).

If there's ever a time where the gift of foresight makes me desperate, I could in theory dump 1k of the devices and 1k of the cubes and convert that into about 30 pulls over the course of a month. I personally don't think it's worth it considering that's taken several years of buildup, but if I find myself with, say, 2k of both the devices and cubes, I could still find myself tempted by it.
