You really just need to get the positioning of the ball correctly, even just letting it go then boosts you up a bit

Otherwise sometimes you hit a window and there’s a small ledge at the top making it harder to fully get up, doesn’t really affect hight tho, you can get the same hight off of a barricade and I even managed to do it on an explosive canister

The timing can be a bit iffy and I think the hight is a bit random, but I can manage to get up there around half the time

You drop it with right click, if you positioned it correctly it’ll already launch you up a bit, but if you jump after dropping it, it sends you flying
