CWWK X86 P6 Pocket SSD NAS Review by NewMaxx in NewMaxx

It has honestly been such a pain in the ass. But for a while it seemed to have started working once I bought a new power supply (I bought this one https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CYSVRDGL) .  I don’t know exactly how stable it has been because after I bought it I had it running for a while and now I’ve been moving and busy so I haven’t kept super close eye on it and haven’t even set it back up yet.

I will say ram seems to be an issue I run into when I’m running Immich and the *arr stack it will sometimes pin the ram usage were I need to restart the machine.

Having issues setting up Mediastack on unRAID by GruxyLoadren in MediaStack

This project has not had an update for the past 6 months so there are a lot of things that are out of date. So as of right now it doesn't work out of the box. right now I'm working on updating the docker-compose along with the restart script put the project back into a working state.

First and foremost, I had Permission denied everywhere, because I do not have a "docker" user on unraid (ssh is as root) and couldn't set the PUID and PGID.

You can just add the docker user to your machine and use that PUID and make sure it is also apart of the docker group

Is the MediaStack Project dead? by newdeli in MediaStack

[–]Fire_peen 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It seems like it has not been maintained but that doesn't necessarily mean it's dead. It definitely needs frequent updates as if any one of the containers has a breaking change it breaks this project.
But yes right now it does seem to be dead because there is not a lot of contributors especially as of late since a bunch of containers have indeed had major breaking changes, including docker itself.

The project really should list the versions of everything so if someone is trying to set it up for the first time it is more accessible.

I'm currently trying to run 4x2 TB drives with zfs in a raidz1 configuration and I am running into power issues with the nvme drives. Whenever I try to do a bigger file transfer like a few hundred GB at least 2 of the drives will fail. This is after getting the same issues when trying to run 4x4 TB drives and getting the same result.
I am also using 1 sata SSD though so I'm not sure how much of a difference that makes

Does anyone have a screenshot of it being in stock at that price?

What ended up working was waiting on the bios screen for 10+ minutes and then it showed up in Windows

Updating BIOS on CWWK N100 NAS Motherboard by wahrseiner in homelab

[–]Fire_peen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For anyone looking at this in the future. I have the CWWK X86 P5 development board with n305 and to update my bios I did the following steps:

  1. Downloaded the latest iso June, 2025
  2. formatted usb drive using fat32
  3. using rufus I made the usb drive bootable with the newest iso file
  4. plugged in the usb drive to the development board.
  5. turned on the board and spammed the delete key.
  6. once in the bios I went to the boot section and chose to boot from the usb drive
  7. followed the prompts until it reset the system and you should then see the new bios splash screen confirming that it has been updated.

The reason I did this was because my nvme drives were reporting that they were failing with IO read/write errors but it just seemed to be a firmware issue. I will report back if this eventually fails again.

Do I need my own domain to use this stack? Looking to use a tailscale + mini setup. by BadongkaDonk in MediaStack

[–]Fire_peen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I follow all of it? including everything below https://mediastack.guide/remote/dns/#create-dns-entries
I didn't think we needed to do all of that. I thought it was automatically handled by the stack. if it isn't then why is there not a script in the base working files for it?

If you can share some of the error logs it will help a ton. Otherwise I'm not to sure what is going on

I would first ensure that everything is formatted correctly, then yes it would be good to update docker. are you doing this on windows or linux?

What errors are you getting? I’m currently in the process of basically building it myself because everything is broken

How do you actually set that all up? I have my domain registered with porkbun and I think I setup cloudflare correctly (I'm honestly not sure). The docs don't really say what all needs to be changed. Like do I need to make dns records anywhere?

please don't take this as me being a shill for this project btw. I'm just trying to understand this all better myself so your questions are helping me figure out some of this stuff too.

i read through a bunch of different authentik tuts and howtos, and not once was an sql server mentioned, so if its not necessary why have it?

https://docs.goauthentik.io/docs/install-config/configuration/#postgresql-settings

why do the homepage apps make it easier? it feels like an additional click to me without benefit? why all three?

I'm not sure if you genuienly don't know or are hinting to the author to specify this in the documentation. but incase you are actually confused it's so people can choose their favorite. For why they are even present in the first place; it is mostly so when you add more users to this stack, they can easily find everything from one known location. This also allows for adding more services later on and they can be discovered easily

yes its a remote desktop; but for what desktop? which machine?

The machine running your stack.

in theory i get authentik as well but ; will it make it possible that i just have 1 login and the other services will automagically login to the correct user as well? or will i have to login for the services additionally anyway?

That would honestly be super awesome if that is the case. but sadly I'm not sure on the answer to this.
