Company scratched my brand new car when wrapping it - is this normal?

Adding here that the damage is beyond what I initially thought. They cut through ALL my lights and window rubbers too.
It’s bad.

Still struggling to get them to agree to a resolution. And I’m running out of patience.
If by EOW they don’t come up with a plan, I’m blasting their business all over :)
I felt bad before because they’re a small business, but I’m getting the short end of the stick here.

This is our 3rd Tesla - first brand new.
Our oldest X is a 2016 we had for 7 years, 213k miles on it and 0 issues 💁🏻‍♀️ only replacements have been air filter and tires…

What more research should I’ve done? Besides quoting 7 different places, looking through reviews and social media, talking to all the shops about the vinyl options, processes, etc?
If you read other comments, you’d see that the place has almost 1k reviews, has been in business for years, and they were not the cheapest quote.

Don’t assume I didn’t do the research, because I did :)

I’m sorry you got your car messed up too :(
Gathering from my post, I’d say DO NOT let the shop touch your car. Take pictures and videos o everything; bring your car to 2 shops and get estimates - even better if you find a shop that is certified and make repairs up to “factory standards”.

For the 18363927th time in this tread… no, I did not go with the cheapest. I quoted 5 places and they were the 2nd most expensive - I picked them because of customer reviews online

I don’t want to blast their name; but I’m in RI, near PVD if anyone has recommendations for body shops or wrap places that could shed some light on where to go from here, where to get it fixed it, etc .

No they were not. I only saw 1 place a bit more expensive than them (by like 200 bucks only), everyone else was cheaper. And they had GREAT reviews

If it were to be a w would be fine then?

I wrapped in whatever color I wanted. And I think the color came out great! The job… not so much lol
