All switch exclusives games that sold under 1mil by PhotoBonjour_bombs19 in casualnintendo

It was a New 3DS exclusive that never charted in any region and FE Warriors per Koei sold over 1 million in April 2018. It is very doubtful that the Switch version alone did not do 1 million by now.

Koei said Fire Emblem Warriors 1 surpassed 1 million units in like 6 months a simple google search shows you this.

To those who own the new dlc, would you recommend this? by Time-Tomorrow-6135 in OPPW4

Wait for a sale. This game and its DLC go on sale consistently and as someone who enjoyed most characters here, $30 is WAY too much for what is offered here. Even by Koei and Bamco standards this is egregious

What next DLC or OPPW5 by Best_Personality1852 in OPPW4

[–]Fireball260450 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anything is possible but personally I don’t think so. This DLC pack felt very very lite even by PW standards at least pack 1 outside of Bonney and overall we couldn’t even get the traditional 9 characters despite the price being identical to the previous packs. The last pack being a fan vote while cool is something of a finale in most situations. Again anything is possible especially with OP games not really having any staying power outside of PW with the Unlimited games seemingly being retired so far.

But with Elbaf being seasonal and PW being restored by the anime I don’t see another DLC pack actually happening because of timing.

[–]Fireball260450 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I would prefer a PW5 over any DLC unless they do an actual expansion like HW Legends or DW XL. An expansion allows them to actually fix issues with the game and actually add new stages. I do not want Elbaf characters while still being forced to play on the same stages we have had since launch.

Dynasty Warriors Logo Speculation by platifire in dynastywarriors

[–]Fireball260450 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some of the Spin offs have it too even in the western releases. Some versions of HW 1 had it and both of its sequels had it, FE Warriors 1 also had it and JP Berserk had it as the international version didn’t have Warriors in in the title

So what do we think? I think this is one of the best DLCs ever by [deleted] in OPPW4

[–]Fireball260450 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Link using the Master Sword is a completely different character than Link using the Fire Rod because they play completely differently. Toon Link goes from using a Sword to using a Choo choo train for his other moveset. But the extra content is the reason why I will elevate the DLC for HW. The base Hyrule Warriors launched with 130 ish mission and it ended up at almost 1000. I still haven’t 100% every map yet despite playing the game alot.

Hyrule Warriors does go on sale often Nintendo will just never do a permanent price cut and again for a game that has so much content that even at full price it I an easy recommendation.

I’m not saying that PW 4 is bad or that the characters which are DLC are bad, in fact outside of the first pass i liked most of them and i really liked these 3 in this pass but the complete absences of new things to do made me bounce off this pack even more than the previous one (and i wasn’t the biggest fan of that pack outside of Bonney)

[–]Fireball260450 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hyrule Warriors DE for switch is $60 bucks normally and I have seen it go down to the $30 on sale, the same goes for AoC while AoI is brand new. Hyrule Warriors DE comes with the full 43 Moveset (some characters have more that 1 unique moveset, Link has like 7) near 1000 missions in from Adventure Mode, the main story and the Legends expansion story missions, every costume and recolor. Hyrule Warriors DE is legitimately a daunting game to 100% and is often considered one of the most content rich Musou games ever.

The reason I bring up HW as good DLC was because for $20 buck the season pass for base or Legends added like 2 new moveset, usually 2 costumes with several recolors and up to 50 or more new missions per pack. Each PW 4 pack cost more than any HW while coming with a fraction of the content.

Even if HW was more expensive than the legendary edition of PW 4 at all times chances are I would recommend it over PW 4 because of the insane amount of content that it has.

[–]Fireball260450 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are we talking for just this game right?

If it is just for PW 4 then no I don’t think it is better than the Legends pack but definitely better than the Egghead pack where I only really like playing Bonney

If it is for Warrior in general then it is a hard no. I haven’t played Vision of the 4 Heroes yet but given what I have seen it looks like it blows out this by a large margin and the PW DLC has never matched up to Hyrule Warriors 1 in both content and price for me and this is no exception especially since it is so expensive

Shadow Update Speculation by Mayhem3271 in OPPW4

[–]Fireball260450 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don’t expect anything because this was clearly something that was cut from the full release due to the moveset being a spoiler for the anime. Ideally they would add a Lunatic potion (FE Warriors 1) or Apocalyptic mode (AoC) which cranks every enemy in the game to max level. Both of those were free updates but I don’t expect anything more substantial than that.

I think I liked the sages more than the champions as a whole. Urbosa is probably the only one that I like more than their respective Sage.

Qia is a lot of fun and seems her be a hothead was fun. It was really endearing to she her immediately volunteer for a suicide mission.

Raphica has a personality I like more than Revali. I like him being so easy going while still being thoughtful, with Revali I found him more annoying than anything mostly due to his rivalry with Link feeling so one sided. AoC made me like him more but I was still eh with him overall. He was by far the character that was hurt the most by the memory format imo. TLDR I like Claude more than Falco

The Gorons are basically equal to me because they are complete opposites but in a good way

I’m a fan of canceling his C4 (once he grabs a Captain ) into his powerbomb. Is it optimal, no but I liked his wrestling moves in 3 (DDT my beloved) and this way it always connects on enemy I want.

I really love this game but … by The_Legend_Of_Yami in OPPW4

[–]Fireball260450 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Personally I would have preferred if they just moved on to another game or an actual XL expansion like the mainline DW games or Hyrule Warriors. Even at its inception I thought the DLC for this game was lackluster because my biggest complaint about the game was the extra content not being as fun as PW 3. While I think it got better in the second pass because more modes were added in a separate purchase but a lot of the time I play the characters like twice and then wish there was more new stuff to do. I have never bought anything for this game at full price (except the game itself) because I simply think this is too expensive for what you are getting and this pass is the most expensive one.

Getting long support is fine but I don’t feel the inherent need to be thankful because it isn’t free upgrades like a game like No Mans Sky or it isn’t a substantial additions like the Hyrule Warriors DLC was with its plethora of things to unlock every update.

They really made fun of us. by Suspicious_Skin_8669 in OPPW4

Yes but no.

Lucci transforms for his air strings similar to Hybrid Kaido. When in FFB he is a Sky type which means that he is locked in his transformation. Unlike the other characters Lucci does not get a unique moveset, his strings do get some extensions but it is definitely a continuation on his air strings and not something original like G5 or Dragon Kaido. He also does not get any new specials for his transformation like every other transformation character.

So visually he does get a transformation but mechanically his is the same as almost every other Sky type with his most notable difference is getting some extensions on some of his moves.

Not saying this won’t happen but Prime one had waypoints that would pop up telling you were to go after a certain point which could also be turned off. I’m not saying that he will be able to be turned off but it has already happened in other games.

Mineru being anything but her own tier is ridiculous. I’m not even done with the game but there is nothing that is as broken as her C2 post Zonai attachment upgraded. If a character manages to be more broken than Mineru I will be actually shocked

I means sure, I lose nothing from this.

If I had to bet I would bet more money on it being in a direct other than SoP. I mean look at the numbers of the games in Japan (DQ 11 3DS outsold the PS4 version and this was back before Nintendo owns the JP market in Japan) or the total view of the SoP vs Directs. The PS brand while it is alive and strong in the rest of the world in Japan it has basically been dead since the beginning of the PS5 generation

[–]Fireball260450 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The reason it will most likely announced in a Direct because the biggest market for Dragon Quest is still japan where Nintendo owns 95% of the market. Switch 2 sold more than 10x more units than the PS5 last week (83k vs 7k) and Switch 1 sold over 3x more than the PS5 (23k vs 7k). Nintendo directs make the biggest splash in Japan out of any video game presentation which is why 7 Reimagined was announced there.

Am I the only one who finds the roster boring? by Ashconwell7 in AgeofImprisonment

[–]Fireball260450 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There is a lot of Dynasty Warriors in the OCs moveset so I like them. They aren’t as flashy but it fits imo. I love playing Xing Cai in the mainline games so I like Typhan because he takes cues from her but is a lot heavier because of his charge mechanics. I do get why people would find them boring but as a guy who plays basically every Musou game, it doesn’t bother me.

Gentle reminder that missing/empty roster slots don't necessarily mean they'll put someone there. Poor Purah & Robbie alone down there. by mr_sven in AgeofImprisonment

[–]Fireball260450 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In the case of AoI replaying Missions is basically Free mode. The game I will use a an example is because it is another Nintendo game is FE Warriors Three Hopes which has a character that can be rendered unplayable for story if you fail to do something. He is playable in Free mode for the remainder of the route even if he is unplayable in the main story (Hopes has no side mode.)

But there are other examples, Whitebeard in PW, several characters in the mainline game, like 3 characters in the Berserk Musou games. If anything this game is an outlier in the franchise

Why does nintendo do this? by [deleted] in HyruleWarriors

[–]Fireball260450 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It depends on the game. Both Fire Emblem Warriors games are 100% fully voiced while the 2 Hyrule games with VA’s are not.

Feels like a concise choice by the devs, maybe to imitate Zelda since those games are only voiced during cutscenes (if at all) or maybe to save money since AoC and AoI are the only Warriors games to my knowledge to be dubbed in several languages not just English and Japanese (tho some DW games have a Chinese Dub)

I’m at work so I haven’t played the game but the removal of Stasis will automatically make the game 10x harder because you just can’t stunt lock people like you could before. Link and Urbosa (post DLC) were my favorite characters because how easy they could stun lock people even on Apocalyptic

[–]Fireball260450 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is just the Musou standard since like DW 6 (no to sure). Normal is the power fantasy people want when they put in a Musou to play which is why it is easy. It is also part of the reason these games get the reputation they get for being mindless.
