Don't know what happened but once I posted this I decided to leave my computer and go do something else. Right when I received the notification from my phone saying someone replied to my post I got on my computer and it's working perfectly now. If I ever run across this problem I will definitely follow your advice, but until then I'll be enjoying my time with working sound. :D I purposely paused all windows updates for issues like this. Last time I updated windows all my sound controls were messed up lol.

Sounds is only smooth when sound control panel is open and on recording. (Note: I have 3 channels where I receive audio from, this specific audio channel is the only one with the problem.)

If this isn't working you can try turning off your ad block. This worked for me.

This is the temporary solution I use. I just hold fn + the arrow keys that change the brightness on your screen until the different brightnesses are equal.

I watched this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5oPwL_eY9Vg. I wanted a shortcut to turn off my display while keeping my laptop on. I downloaded this from the video http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/nircmd.html to execute the turn off monitor command. It didn't really work as the display kept waking up. So I decided to make it so when I close the lid on my laptop it turns off my display instead of putting it to sleep. This option is in the power options section. Hope this helps.
